Yamaha Cygnus Gryphus…374,000 yen (including 10% consumption tax)
Yamaha has announced the 2025 model of its 50cc scooter, the Cygnus Griffus. This model change continues to feature the popular 124cc Blue Core engine, but a new yellow color has been added, expanding the color variations to a total of four.
A vibrant new color, “Yellow,” has been added to the lineup.
The newly added “Yellow” color features a vivid body color with black “CYGNUS” graphics and “GRYPHUS” emblem, expressing the massive sportiness and stylishness that is characteristic of the Cygnus.
The current three colors of “blue,” “white,” and “black” will continue to be available, with a total of four colors to suit a wide range of tastes.
Based on the concept of Advanced Total Performance Sport
The CYGNUS GRYPHUS is a sports scooter developed under the concept of “Advanced Total Performance Sport.” In addition to its aggressive styling, it combines powerful driving performance with high environmental friendliness. It also pursues convenience for everyday use such as commuting to work or school, and has continued to receive high support in the 50cc moped market since its release.
“BLUE CORE” engine that combines environmental friendliness and driving performance
At the heart of the Cygnus Griffus is a water-cooled 124cm3 engine developed based on Yamaha’s environmental technology “BLUE CORE” philosophy.
“BLUE CORE” is Yamaha Motor’s engine design concept that embodies a high level of both “fun to ride” and “fuel economy and environmental performance.” This concept, which was introduced in 2014, aims to achieve performance by focusing on three points: highly efficient combustion, excellent cooling performance, and reduced loss.
The engine for the Cygnus Griffus was also developed based on this “BLUE CORE” concept, achieving a high level of both powerful acceleration and excellent fuel economy.
Established its position as a standard model in the 2-class moped market
Since its release, the Cygnus Griffus has been popular in the 2-class moped market due to its aggressive design and high practicality. With the addition of these new colors, it can be said that the model now caters to an even wider range of user preferences.
It is likely to further solidify its position as a 124cc scooter that is useful not only for commuting to work or school, but also for weekend leisure activities.
