Yamaha Ténéré 700…1,474,000 yen

Yamaha Motor Sales Co., Ltd. has redesigned its adventure model, the Ténéré700 ABS, and will release it as the 2025 model on March 31st. Based on the concept of “The Total Ténéré – Top in Adventure,” this new model has improved off-road performance and convenience for touring.
An accessory package called “Ténéré700 ABS Low” that includes a lowered seat and lowered links is also planned for sale, with the dealer’s suggested retail price being 1,474,000 yen (tax included).
Evolution of engine and electronic control technology

The new “Ténéré700 ABS” is equipped with a 688cc liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC, in-line 2-cylinder, 270-degree crank engine based on the “Crossplane Concept.” The new “YCC-T (Yamaha Electronically Controlled Throttle)” system provides linear and smooth acceleration across the entire rev range. Furthermore, a change to the intake shape has resulted in increased torque at low revs, improving off-road performance at low speeds.
Enhanced driving assistance technology

Equipped with a riding mode switching system and traction control (TCS), the rider can choose between two riding modes, “SPORT” and “EXPLORER,” depending on their preferences and riding conditions. A quick shifter that allows for up-shifting and down-shifting during both acceleration and deceleration is also available as an optional accessory. Furthermore, the bike continues to be equipped with a three-mode ABS that can be set to front and rear ON, front and rear OFF, or rear only OFF.
Optimized suspension and riding position

The inverted front suspension with a 43mm diameter inner tube has revised valve settings and is equipped with a preload adjuster. This makes initial operation smoother, making it easier to feel the road on the ground. The rear suspension also has an increased stroke and uses a link-type Monocross suspension with a reservoir tank that has damping characteristics that make it less likely to bottom out. The flat seat that integrates the rider and passenger and the revised shape of the fuel tank have improved freedom of movement while riding.
Latest digital interfaces and connectivity

The vehicle features a specially designed 6.3-inch full-color TFT vertical meter that clearly displays all the information you need for driving. By connecting the vehicle to a smartphone with the dedicated app “Y-Connect” installed, you can access a variety of content, including notifications for incoming calls and emails, and turn-by-turn navigation in conjunction with Google Maps. A USB-C charging port is also included as standard.
Renewed design and coloring



The four LED headlights have been changed from the previous round shape to a sharp square shape and are now mounted slightly higher. The light distribution and light output have been redesigned to create an aggressive impression. The exterior has also been completely redesigned, inheriting the unique silhouette with its distinctive high face and slender body. Three colors are available: “Blue,” which symbolizes Yamaha’s sporty image; “Matte Gray,” which expresses a robust and adventurous image; and “Light Blue,” which is reminiscent of Yamaha’s rally machines from the early 1980s.
