Yamaha TRACER9 GT…1,595,000 yen

Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. released the 2025 model of its sports tourer “TRACER9 GT ABS” on April 14th. This model is based on the concept of “The matured multirole fighter of the motorcycle,” and offers a versatile, sporty and comfortable ride from urban areas to touring. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is 1,595,000 yen (tax included).

World’s first headlamp

The 2025 model TRACER9 GT ABS is equipped with the world’s first matrix LED headlamp for a motorcycle. This headlamp is composed of multiple low/high beam LEDs, and a camera built into the top detects surrounding traffic conditions and automatically controls the LEDs to turn on and off, adjusting the illumination range. This significantly improves visibility when riding at night, increasing safety.

The bike is also equipped with YRC (Yamaha Ride Control), which allows the rider to switch between riding modes depending on the riding conditions and their preferences. This system not only allows the rider to select the riding feel, but also the degree of intervention of various electronic controls, such as the front and rear suspension, to support riding in a wide range of situations. Furthermore, by connecting the bike to a smartphone with the dedicated apps “Y-Connect” or “Garmin Motorize” installed, navigation can be displayed on the screen, providing assistance in driving to the destination.

Perfect comfort

Comfort has also been improved, with the bike now equipped with an electric windscreen that can be continuously adjusted within a 100mm range. The optimized front cowl and windscreen shape have enhanced wind protection and are designed to reduce fatigue even during long rides. The seat uses a high-density cushion to improve comfort, while the front section that connects to the fuel tank has been made thinner to allow for easier foot placement. Furthermore, the handlebar angle has been increased from 32 degrees to 35 degrees, making it easier to maneuver and turn in places such as bicycle parking lots.

A new era of sports tourer style

In terms of design, the keywords are “mobility born from reduction” and “functionality that invites travel,” and the car adopts a simple, sturdy styling that omits ornamentation and an arrow silhouette that makes use of the wind. The “travel-specification” front and rear lights, including the matrix LED headlamps, express strength and comfort through their presence, resulting in a design that stirs the urge to travel.

Two colors are available: Matte Light Gray Metallic 4 (matte light gray) and Matte Dark Gray Metallic 6 (matte dark gray). These colors, combined with the styling, give a high-quality and sophisticated impression.

The TRACER9 GT ABS combines a lightweight, torqueful CP3 engine with a lightweight body weighing just 227 kg to achieve sporty and nimble riding performance. The hip point and handlebar angle have also been changed to improve comfort during long trips and on highways.

As such, the 2025 TRACER9 GT ABS is attracting attention as a model that combines the latest technology and design to provide comfortable riding in a variety of situations. Equipped with a full range of equipment and performance to meet the needs of riders, it is a bike that will further enrich your motorcycle life.
