The MT-03 ABS and MT-25 ABS were developed with the concept of providing excitement that makes you want to ride every day, from everyday life to leisure. Both bikes share almost the same frame, suspension, exterior parts and coloring, and are equipped with a water-cooled, four-stroke, parallel twin-cylinder DOHC four-valve engine.
The displacement of the MT-03 ABS is set to 320cc (bore diameter Φ68.0mm x stroke length 44.1mm / maximum output 42hp), while the MT-25 ABS is set to 249cc (bore diameter Φ60.0mm x stroke length 44.1mm / maximum output 35hp). The key point is that you can choose the model according to your purpose and maintenance budget (the 250cc class MT-25 ABS does not require vehicle inspection), etc.
The main changes for the 2025 model are:
1: The A&S (Assist & Slipper) clutch reduces the lever operation load, resulting in smoother vehicle behavior when downshifting.
2: Features that enhance convenience, such as a new LCD meter and a Type-A USB socket that are compatible with the dedicated smartphone app “YAMAHA Motorcycle Connect (Y-Connect).”
3: The seat has been redesigned to improve foot reach and passenger comfort.
4: The newly designed rear exterior and the engine exterior have a crystal graphite paint color that emphasizes the mechanical feel.

This windscreen is ideal for touring, providing increased wind protection at high speeds. It requires no modification to the cowl, and can be fitted with the separately sold “Euro Top Case 39L” or “Euro Top Case 34L” and universal plate. The maximum load capacity inside the top case is 3kg. Cannot be fitted at the same time as the soft side bag stays (Q5KYSK155P01).

After a 350km day trip on the MT-03, I noticed a number of differences between it and the MT-25. / YamahaI’ve written before about my love for mid-displacement bikes. The well-balanced, explosive high performance found in the 200cc and 600cc classes makes me smile. As you know, the MT-03 is a sibling of the 25. They share the same looks, dimensions, weight, and even the catalog. The only difference is the engine displacement. Both motorcycles sport a green-framed license plate on the tail.
