World premiere of “MOTOROiD:Λ,” a next-generation motorcycle equipped with AI and capable of self-learning

The highlight of the Yamaha booth (East Hall 5) is the MOTOROiD:Λ (Lambda), a two-wheeled mobility vehicle that grows by itself through reinforcement learning. This is the third in the series, following the first MOTOROiD in 2017 and the MOTOROiD2 in 2023.
Its greatest feature is that it uses reinforcement learning, an AI technology, to learn in a virtual environment, and then uses Sim2Real technology to realize its movements in the real world. From a 180-degree deployed position, it can independently drive the motors in each part, raising the body and maintaining balance.
Its specifications overturn conventional concepts of motorcycles, such as optimal and organic movement generated through learning, and an exoskeleton design that prioritizes durability and lightweight design to anticipate the impact of failure.By giving mobility an independent way of thinking, it is an experimental vehicle that takes a step towards a new relationship in which mobility can grow together with people.
“TRICERA proto” three-wheeled mobility vehicle that achieves unprecedented turning performance

The TRICERA proto, a three-wheeled, fully open EV that offers a new level of driving pleasure, will also be unveiled for the first time in the world. The vehicle employs three-wheel manual steering (3WS) that allows steering of the front and rear wheels, realizing a new sense of driving that makes even the learning process of controlling it at will enjoyable.
The turning control, which is the most fun from a human research perspective, embodies a different dimension of oneness between the driver and the machine. It also comes equipped with the “αlive AD” sound device, which tunes and adjusts the driving sound, and is equipped with a mechanism to amplify the exhilaration of the driver as they become immersed in the driving.
Other highlights include the arched silhouette created by the center frame that accentuates the three-wheel structure, and the unique design achieved by expressing the juxtaposition between human space and functional space.
“PROTO BEV” is a lightweight and compact super sports electric motorcycle

The PROTO BEV, a real-world prototype model that embodies the “fun that only a large-battery EV can offer,” is an electric super sports car that has been thoroughly designed to be lightweight and compact in order to maximize the fun.
It combines the excellent handling stability cultivated in conventional internal combustion engine models with the linear throttle response and powerful, smooth acceleration performance that are the attractions of battery EVs.It is equipped with various HMI (human-machine interfaces) that allow the rider to concentrate on sporty driving, such as a simple operation system concentrated at the rider’s fingertips, a meter visualizer that conveys the vehicle’s status, and sound.
This specification can be said to be the perfect electric super sports bike, combining a new riding experience with ease of handling.
“H2 Buddy Porter Concept” hydrogen-engine motorcycle jointly developed with Toyota

As a diverse option for achieving carbon neutrality, the company will also exhibit the “H2 Buddy Porter Concept,” a hydrogen-engine motorcycle being jointly developed with Toyota Motor Corporation.
The vehicle uses a newly developed small high-pressure hydrogen tank (approved) by Toyota Motor Corporation that is suitable for installation on motorcycles, and Yamaha has primarily developed the hydrogen engine and motorcycle body, etc. Actual measurements have shown that the vehicle has a cruising range of over 100km when full of hydrogen.
It incorporates technical requirements for riding on public roads based on existing regulations, and is compliant with Euro 5 exhaust gas regulations, including NOx. It is a realistic proposal for the social implementation of hydrogen-engine motorcycles.
The Y-00B electric assist bicycle lets you express your individuality

A new style of eBike (electrically assisted bicycle) concept model, “Y-00B: Base / Bricolage,” will also be unveiled for the first time in the world.
The slim and minimalist dual twin frame is fitted with a compact battery and drive unit that are integrated into one unit. With high expandability and customizability, the car offers a “beloved vehicle” that grows with the owner, adapting to their lifestyle and sensibilities.
The included USB-PD converter allows for easy charging on the go, and despite its slim battery, it allows for greater freedom of movement.
The “Y-00B: Bricolage” is a customized model of the “Y-00B: Base,” commemorating the 70th anniversary of Yamaha Motor’s founding. It is a homage to the company’s first product, the “YA-1” motorcycle (1955), and embodies a unique style that combines classic aesthetics with modern technology.
Hybrid bikes combine environmental friendliness and performance

Two hybrid bike models, the “PROTO HEV (Proto Hybrid Eevee)” and the “PROTO PHEV (Proto Plug-in Hybrid Eevee),” will also be on display as environmentally friendly technologies.
The PROTO HEV is a series-parallel hybrid (SPHEV) motorcycle that integrates an electric motor and engine using efficient packaging technology. It offers a quiet and calm ride in urban areas and a powerful and reliable ride in the suburbs. Its unique power and energy management technology improves fuel efficiency by more than 35% compared to comparable vehicles.
The PROTO PHEV combines the appeal of engines with electric technology, enabling EV and hybrid driving by switching between engine and motor drive. It is a proposed model of a motorcycle that combines the traditional appeal of sporty riding with high environmental performance.
Many commercial bikes and racing vehicles on display
Commercially available vehicles on display include the TRACER9 GT+ equipped with a Y-AMT (automatic manual transmission), the Fazzio scooter that is scheduled for sale, the YZF-R1 in Suzuka 8 Hours spec, and the TY-E 3.0 electric trial bike for competitions.
Furthermore, with the cooperation of Yamaha Corporation, Hatsune Miku will serve as an evangelist at the Yamaha booth, and there will be dynamic stage productions utilizing the immersive audio solution “Sound xR”‘s 3D sound technology, as well as exhibits and performances of electronic instruments such as the finger drum pads “FGDP-30/FGDP-50,” the hybrid piano “AvantGrand N3X,” and the electronic drum “DTX10K-X.”
There will also be a wide selection of electric wheelchairs on display, including the three-wheeled electric wheelchair “NACTUS VS TRE-X,” created in collaboration with Nissin Medical Equipment, and the “ONE-MAX Urban / Historical,” created in collaboration with Matsunaga Manufacturing.
In addition to the Yamaha booth, several models will be exhibited in the “Tokyo Future Tour 2035” and “Mobility Culture Area,” including the hydrogen-engine golf car “DRIVE H2,” the classic racer “YZR500 (0W76),” and the first-generation “JOG (CE50E).”
