Vespa, with its 79-year history, makes its debut at the Expo
Vespa is a legendary scooter brand that has produced over 19 million units worldwide since its launch in 1946. For this year’s Expo, the Vespa GTV300 Innocente White was chosen as a symbol of Tuscan beauty, art, and innovative creativity.
Tuscany, the birthplace of the Renaissance, is a fountainhead of creativity that has produced Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo and Galileo Galilei. Vespa embodies the region’s exceptional capacity for innovation and creativity, and is constantly evolving with an eye to the future.

The charm of the Vespa GTV300, a fusion of classic and modern
The Vespa GTV300 on display has been loved since its launch in 2006 as the purest classic model in the Vespa series.
Iconic design elements
Its most distinctive feature is the “Faro Basso” (low headlamp) mounted on the front fender, while the exposed metal pipe handlebars bring back the charm of the classic Vespa to the modern era.
Maintaining traditional style, it combines ultra-modern technology with sporty finishes to create the sportiest Vespa ever.
High-performance engine specs
The Vespa GTV300 is equipped with a single-cylinder 300hpe (high performance engine) with a water-cooled, four-valve electronically controlled fuel injection system. It produces a maximum output of 23.8ps (17.5kW), providing powerful riding performance.
Vespa as a global brand today
Vespa is currently experiencing the most opportune period in its history: with nearly 2 million units produced over the past decade, the brand has established itself as a global leader in style, elegance and technology.
The background to the birth of Vespa
The Vespa was born in 1946 on the streets of a Europe devastated by war, but at the same time overflowing with creativity and hope for recovery. Now, 79 years into its history, the Expo 2020 exhibition will provide an opportunity to look back on that journey.
