Yoshimura’s traditional straight pipe style! The rugged black paint is also attractive.
The popular CT125 Hunter Cub Straight 762 Cyclone exhaust system combines Yoshimura’s traditional straight pipe style with an up-type layout. It delivers sharp and powerful acceleration performance and a dynamic sound.
The roots of the Straight Cyclone lie in the 4-1 collector muffler (see page below) that was introduced to the “Daytona spec” Honda CB750FOUR racer developed by Yoshimura Japan in 1971. This muffler is also famous for being the debut year of the collector muffler that would later become synonymous with Yoshimura Japan.
The straight cyclone muffler, which combines the exhaust pipe and silencer, has an unchanging straight pipe style that is painted black, and is still respected by many riders even after more than half a century has passed.

The large diameter Φ76.2 tailpipe produces a more bassy sound than the stock version.
The Straight Cyclone, which does not have a separate silencer, has a structure that makes it difficult to maintain sound volume within regulatory limits while still delivering performance. However, thanks to the know-how of muffler design that has been cultivated over many years, it has achieved improved acceleration performance from the start while still complying with various regulations. In particular, the significant increase in power and torque from 6,000 rpm onwards, combined with the more powerful pulsating engine, allows you to experience the driving feel that is unique to a Straight Cyclone.
The exhaust sound that resonates pleasantly when you start the engine is characterized by a moderately powerful sound with a lower tone than the stock sound, thanks to the large diameter Φ76.2 tailpipe. The pleasant sound volume while driving is kept within the regulation value, so it can be used safely on the street.
This muffler is over 40% lighter (2.8kg) than the stock muffler (4.8kg), and the weight reduction and mass centralization contribute to improved driving performance. The muffler body is made of stainless steel, which improves corrosion resistance. The matte black paint uses a special paint with heat resistance. Part of the production process of this cyclone muffler is carried out at Yoshimura Asia (Thailand).
