There was a photo space where you could sit on a bike and take photos with Satomi-kun.
While the aging of motorcycle users is often a hot topic, the number of motovlogging YouTubers and younger riders has recently increased. While the number of teenage and 20-somethings at events held around the country is increasing, which is a welcome sight for older riders, didn’t you notice a disproportionate number of young women at this year’s Osaka and Tokyo Motorcycle Shows? The reason is that “Satoumi (Strawberry Prince)” has been appointed the official ambassador for the Osaka and Tokyo Motorcycle Shows. Those unfamiliar with Strawberry Prince may not understand what this means. To briefly explain to veterans, Strawberry Prince is a group of creators active primarily online, a 2.5-dimensional idol group consisting of six members: Riin, Root, Koron, Satomi, Nanamori, and Jel. Each member is active in live streaming, video production, animation production, singing, and music composition. While the members are usually portrayed through drawings and animation, they reveal their real faces during live performances, earning them the nickname “2.5-dimensional idols.” The newly appointed ambassador, Satomi, is a popular game streamer who is also highly regarded for her singing ability. She is the oldest member and her member color is pink.

If you visited five spots within the venue and collected digital stamps, you would receive a shopper bag exclusive to the venue.
Perhaps thanks to Satomi-kun, there seemed to be a lot of young women at this year’s motorcycle show. At the venue on the day, a photo booth was set up where visitors could take photos riding Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki motorcycles in front of panels featuring illustrations created specifically for the event. There were also special events exclusive to the venue, such as collecting digital stamps on your smartphone while touring five locations within the venue, and receiving limited edition novelty items. A theme song was also announced for this motorcycle show. Satomi-kun also made announcements throughout the venue, making it a great day for fans. Among the attendees were some girls wearing what might be considered “unfashionable” fashion, seemingly unrelated to motorcycles, but it was still good to see them taking an interest in motorcycles. Let’s hope that Satomi-kun will help increase the number of motorcycle riders.

Each manufacturer had a mid-size bike that was easy for women to handle. Did you all get to experience the feeling of touring together?

Many people brought along Satomi-kun’s “nui” (stuffed toy) and took photos with him.
