The stylish sidecar SS1 matches the design of the CL250

M-Craft, a specialist sidecar manufacturer that produces and sells unique sidecars, mainly for scooters and small motorcycles, exhibited at the Osaka Motorcycle Show. This time they exhibited the SS1, which is a perfect fit for Honda’s scrambler model CL250, and the compact and slim SV1, which fits 2-wheeled moped models such as the DAX125. The booth allowed visitors to actually experience the comfort of the sidecars.

There is ample legroom inside, so you can enjoy long tours.

M Craft was founded in 2002 as a brand specializing in sidecars. While their sidecars for 50cc Monkeys and small scooters have garnered attention, they also produce a large number of sidecars for larger vehicles such as Harleys and BMWs. This time, they exhibited the “SS1,” a model that matches the popular touring models CL250 and Rebel 250. Made for the CL250, which has a generous wheelbase of 1485mm (the Rebel 250 is 1490mm), the sidecar has ample overall length and offers a spacious living space on a par with that of larger models. This makes it perfect for long tours. The design is also sharp and stylish. Priced at 627,000 yen, it’s a reasonable price for this class.

The SV1 is a perfect fit for the DAX125. The design is slim and long. It’s not too big and is easy to ride.

Another model on display was the SV-1 mounted on a DAX125. This model is designed to fit small motorcycles, but has a longer and slimmer style than previous models. It also uses 12-inch aluminum wheels for four-wheelers, which improves stability and maneuverability. The style is classic yet simple. Its design also fits the Super Cub series. The price is 462,000 yen.

Classic and simple design. 12-inch wheels provide stability and ease of operation.

The sidecar will also be exhibited at the Nagoya Motorcycle Show, which will be held at Aichi Sky Expo (Aichi International Exhibition Center) from April 4th (Friday) to 6th (Sunday), so we hope you will come and experience the charm of the sidecar for yourself.
