Yamaha will be releasing two new colors for its retro sports model “XSR125 ABS,” a Class 2 moped. The new colors are a subdued “Silver” and a “Brown” inspired by sports bikes from the 1970s and 1980s. The previous “Black” color will continue to be sold, and the price for all colors is 506,000 yen (including 10% consumption tax).

“Silver” gives a sharp impression, while “Brown” is reminiscent of sports bikes of the past.

The newly added “Silver” color is a combination of a subdued body color and matte black parts, creating a stylish and sharp impression. It is characterized by a sophisticated atmosphere that is urban yet not too assertive.

The other new color, “Brown,” features lines on the tank inspired by sports bikes from the 1970s and 1980s, creating a design with a classic feel. It strongly expresses the identity of the XSR series, which is “Neo Retro,” a fusion of modern technology and classic design elements.

The XSR125 ABS is a model that embodies the “Neo Retro” concept of the XSR series, combining “timeless style” with “the latest components.” It transcends the traditional categories of “super sports” and “naked,” and while retaining a retro look and the story behind it, it also offers the joy of riding based on advanced technology.

Its 124cc water-cooled engine makes it light and easy to handle, and it’s also easy to maintain, which is a feature of the Class 2 moped class. These features have made it popular with a wide range of people, especially those in their teens and twenties.
