The new graphic “AGILITY” that will be introduced this time is an English word meaning agile. It features a unique graphic that looks like it is covered in shell armor. It is a design that pays homage to the layered structure (a structure that looks like complex overlapping structures) of modern full-cowl sports bikes, and encapsulates the aggressive and sporty functionality and mindset hidden within. For riders who want to focus on sporty riding even when touring, this is the perfect graphic to embody their own opinion.

SHOEI’s new standard model for premium touring full-face helmets, the GT-Air, has evolved further and is now available as the GT-Air3. This model demonstrates SHOEI’s unique high quality and high performance in any riding environment, opening up a new world of touring.
The cap body is integrated with the ventilation parts and has a shape that flows from the front to the back of the head. The side design and the top design that contributes to stability while riding are inherited from the previous model, and a new design has been adopted that further enhances the sense of unity between the shell and parts.
New side parts are fitted to both sides of the shell, which contribute to impact absorption and are highly effective in improving the helmet’s aerodynamic performance. The sporty design matches a variety of styles, resulting in an aerodynamic form that makes touring more comfortable. Comparing aerodynamic performance with the previous model in an environment equivalent to 100km/h, the GT-Air3 reduces lift, the tendency for the helmet to float upward, by 11%, and drag, the tendency for the helmet to be pressed from the front, by 6.5%. The upper air intake features innovative base part tip shapes, ribs, and shutter shapes. It is designed to efficiently introduce wind into the helmet while riding.
The top air outlet is positioned to maximize the wind flow speed across the shell surface while riding. By placing the outlet hole further forward compared to the previous model, the exhaust volume has been improved. Compared to the previous model, the air intake has increased inflow volume by approximately 1.2 times and exhaust volume by approximately 1.8 times.
The lower air intake is equipped with a removable defroster filter that prevents insects and other insects from getting in. In addition, by attaching the included Breath Guard K, not only can you prevent the shield from fogging up due to your breath, but you can also take in some of the wind while riding to your mouth, reducing the feeling of breathlessness inside the helmet.
The shield is newly equipped with the CNS-1C shield, which incorporates a center lock system. By positioning the shield lock in the center, deflection during opening and closing is reduced, improving the balance of adhesion between the shield and the window rubber (window beading) on both sides. In addition, adding ribs to the bottom of the shield increases the rigidity of the shield, realizing smoother operation. Furthermore, an anti-fog sheet that ensures clear visibility is included as standard. The height of the upper rib has been changed compared to the previous shield, preventing interference with the window rubber (window beading) when the anti-fog sheet is installed. In addition, the QSV-2 sun visor, which has high optical performance comparable to European sunglasses standards, continues to be included.
The highly convenient micro-ratchet chin strap, which can be fastened and released even while wearing thick gloves, has also been improved. The fastening part is made of stainless steel, and two claws are always engaged. The safety design, which unlocks when the handle is opened beyond a certain angle, remains the same, but the parts have been made more compact. The strap is woven with high-strength, high-elasticity high-performance fibers, ensuring strength while making it slimmer and improving the fit around the neck.
The interior uses a hybrid of moisture-wicking, quick-drying fabric and brushed fabric for the surface fabric. By placing moisture-wicking, quick-drying fabric on the forehead and cheeks, which are prone to sweating, discomfort caused by sweat is reduced even when riding in hot weather. In addition, soft brushed fabric is used in the area near the opening, which is prone to rubbing against the skin when putting on and taking off the helmet, improving comfort.
In addition, the GT-Air3 is packed with comfort and safety, including a specially designed communication system attachment mechanism that integrates with the helmet design, and an emergency helmet removal system in case of an accident. It is a model worthy of being called the touring standard.
