Kawasaki Premium Oil by Motul…3,100 yen/L~
Kawasaki Motors Japan, in collaboration with its parent company Kawasaki Motors and Motul Japan, has developed “Kawasaki Premium Oil by Motul,” an engine oil specifically for motorcycles, and will release it on March 17, 2025.
The suggested retail price (excluding tax) is 3,100 yen per bottle for 10W-40 and 3,200 yen per bottle for 10W-50. They are available at Kawasaki authorized dealers nationwide and the Kawasaki online shop.
Use of sustainable oil
This engine oil was developed for riders who enjoy touring and city riding. Utilizing MOTUL’s signature ester technology, the oil is lime green in color as a testament to its joint development with Kawasaki. Based on “sustainable oil” that uses re-refined oil, the bottle also uses recycled materials, incorporating next-generation technology that aims to be carbon neutral while maintaining high performance.
Re-refined base oils are produced from used lubricating oils through an advanced re-refining process and are used as high-quality base oils. By combining this with MOTUL’s latest proprietary technology, it achieves excellent performance in terms of durability and responsiveness. This product benefits not only the environment but also the user. The “NGEN” logo on the back of the bottle is proof that MOTUL products use this sustainable oil.
Ester x Motul original base oil
Ester technology improves engine response. Motul’s proprietary base oil, fortified with esters and re-refined base oil, minimizes internal engine friction loss at a level equal to or better than products without re-refined base oil, while reducing the environmental impact, improving power output and throttle response.
It also improves clutch grip and gear changes. It meets the JASO MA2 standard, suppressing excess slippage in the clutch area and transmitting maximum power to the road. It also offers high gear protection and an appropriate friction coefficient for improved shift feel.
In addition, the re-refined base oil and esters provide improved protection at high temperatures.
