Classic style evolution color
Bell Helmets began in the United States in 1954 as the “helmet division” of Bell Auto Parts. Their first helmet, the “500,” was groundbreaking, being the first to feature a foam liner, still used in modern helmets. The “500” was later succeeded by the “500-TX,” the first racing helmet to meet the world’s strictest American “Snell” safety standards. The “500,” considered one of the original open-face helmets, has been brought back to life by Bell Helmets in the form of the “Custom500.” The newly redesigned “Custom500” features an oval design and a slim fit, maintaining its classic style while achieving a compact appearance and comfortable fit.
Five new colors have been added this time. In addition to the simple, easy-to-match solid colors of FLAKE ROOTBEER (brown) and SOLID GLOSS VINTAGE WHITE (white), there are three limited edition models featuring retro line graphics: SLAP BLACK (black/green), EDGE METALLIC BLACK/GRAY (black/gray), and EDGE GLOSS BROWN/GOLD (brown/gold). The good old designs are a perfect fit for American cruisers, old trackers, vintage sports cars, and more.
Specially designed to fit Asian heads
The classic design and compact helmet body is inspired by the “500-TX,” the first helmet manufactured by BELL in 1954, and features an oval design and a slim fit. The helmet features a newly designed Asian Form for the Japanese market. The original BELL model has been improved to fit the Asian head shape, ensuring a comfortable, secure fit. Taking into account the characteristic of Japanese people, which tend to have protruding sides and a flat back, the helmet has been modified to fit the Japanese perfectly.
The exterior is designed with a wide, thick rubber hem that tightens the overall look, and a snap closure that allows for the addition of a shield or other accessories, giving it both functionality and a vintage feel. It meets Japan’s PSC and SG safety standards, passing rigorous tests for impact resistance and puncture resistance.
The interior is unified with a vintage-style quilting process with black and red stitching. It has high cushioning and maintains comfort even during long rides. In addition, the distinctive red tag attached to the D-ring part of the chin strap has the BELL HELMETS logo, and is an elaborate finish that enhances the sense of ownership.
