“Honda Customs,” celebrating custom culture, kicks off again this year

Honda Customs 2025, a custom motorcycle festival hosted by Honda Motor Europe, was held again this year in Biarritz, France. Eleven unique GB350S custom machines created by dealers and custom builders from around Europe gathered together, captivating the crowd with their beautiful designs and creativity. The star of this year’s event was the new GB350S, which combines classic and modern styles. This single bike boldly expresses the essence of the motorcycle culture that Honda has cultivated over many years.

A lineup of the best from seven European countries

This year’s exhibitors were 11 builders from seven countries: France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, the UK, Spain, and Switzerland. Spain showcased the cafe racer-style “The Rocket Lion” and the “Clubman TT,” which recreates road races from the 1960s. Other models that caught the eye of the audience included the affectionate “Miranda,” named after a young girl, and the “MBX350,” reminiscent of the classic 1980s MBX80.

From the UK, the classic cafe racer “Silver Bullet” and the flat track-inspired “FTR350” are participating. Switzerland’s “Swiss Wing” stands out with its aircraft-inspired design. France has the upcycled “Okira,” and Italy has the “Hachimaan,” which is based on the Shinto war god Hachiman. Each machine interprets the simple yet profound design of the GB350S in a new context, highlighting its originality.

Online popularity polls and exhibitions have become a regular occurrence

Honda Customs launched in 2020 and has been gaining more attention every year. In 2024, the number of visitors to hondacustoms.com exceeded 25,500, an 18% increase from the previous year. This year, in addition to on-site exhibits, online voting is being held on the official website, and the vehicle with the most votes will be awarded the “Custom of the Year” at the end of summer. The site also allows users to download wallpapers for smartphones and PCs, appealing to a wide range of users, not just customization enthusiasts.

Why was the GB350S chosen as the base for customization?

The GB350S is a model that combines an air-cooled single-cylinder engine with a compact, lightweight body and a classic appearance. It is highly acclaimed for its ease of handling and stylish design, and is considered an ideal base vehicle for European custom builders. At the event, a variety of customizations that made the most of the bike’s features were on display, once again impressing on viewers the beauty of “simplicity” and the importance of free thinking.

Through the GB350S, Honda is promoting “motorcycles as a lifestyle” to the world. This festival, where the past and the future intersect, marks a new step forward in custom culture. Attention will be focused this summer on who will be the ultimate winner.
