Improved performance and control

Yamaha’s proud Ténéré 700 series has been further evolved into the Ténéré 700 World Raid 2026, which has now been released in Europe.
The new model is equipped with dedicated components and advanced technology and has been developed as the ultimate adventure machine, capable of both long-distance riding and rugged off-road riding.
At its heart is the legendary CP2 689cc parallel twin-cylinder engine. Thanks to a new intake system design and compliance with EURO5+ regulations, torque at low rpm has been improved, resulting in more linear and easy-to-handle power characteristics.
The electronically controlled throttle is Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T), allowing the rider to choose between two modes: “SPORT” and “EXPLORER.” This allows the rider to instantly switch power characteristics according to the conditions, enabling unparalleled control from paved roads to wilderness.
In addition, traction control, slide control, ABS, and brake control are integrated using a 6-axis IMU to ensure optimal traction and stability at all times.
Structure and comfort for long-distance riding
Built for adventure, the Ténéré 700 World Raid 2026 is designed for hundreds of kilometres.
The newly designed, split aluminum fuel tank has a total capacity of 23 liters, giving the aircraft a cruising range of approximately 500 km. Weight has been reduced by 1.5 kg, and the reduced fuel shifting provides stable maneuverability.
The new mono-seat rally-type seat allows the rider to naturally switch between sitting and standing positions, allowing for greater riding freedom.
It also comes equipped with cruise control and a speed limiter, significantly improving comfort on the highway, while the large, adjustable screen and removable side deflectors reduce wind pressure and are designed to minimize fatigue even on long journeys.
Outstanding off-road capability and a robust chassis
The Ténéré 700 World Raid 2026 is a model that truly inherits Yamaha’s off-road spirit. The newly designed, fully adjustable KYB suspension features 46mm diameter inverted forks at the front and a link-type monoshock at the rear. The front and rear strokes are 230mm and 220mm longer than the standard model, improving stability and shock absorption on rough roads.
The front fork is treated with Kashima coating to reduce sliding resistance and maintain smooth operation even under extreme conditions, while the rear shock is equipped with an aluminum reservoir tank that separates the oil and air to prevent heat loss and provide consistent damping performance.
Furthermore, a new 16-stage adjustable steering damper has been added. This allows the rider to freely adjust the steering feel according to the riding conditions, ensuring stable handling even when cruising at high speeds or driving over rough terrain. The combination of a lightweight aluminum swing arm and double cradle frame achieves both high rigidity and flexibility. The ground clearance of 255mm ensures ample clearance on rough roads.
A fusion of new design and connectivity
The exterior has also undergone significant evolution. While retaining the rally-style silhouette, the mono-seat shape and side protection have been revamped to create powerful, modern proportions. The front uses a newly designed four-lamp LED unit, with 54 x 24 mm square high/low beams creating a sharp look.
The new 6.3-inch vertical TFT meter offers excellent visibility and three display themes to choose from: “STREET,” “EXPLORER,” and “RAID.” It also supports smartphone connectivity, including Google-linked navigation, and by linking with the Yamaha MyRide app, it can display riding logs, notifications, and navigation information in real time.
It also comes with a USB-C port, making it easy to charge devices while touring. It comes in two body colors: Redline White and Midnight Black. There are also over 60 genuine accessories and adventure wear developed in collaboration with Alpinestars, ensuring both functionality and style.
