Inheriting and deepening the Rebel spirit

Honda’s proud large cruiser series, the CMX1100 Rebel, will be released in Europe as a 2026 model. While the mechanical aspects follow the 2025 model, the standard model will feature a new color, Beta Silver Metallic.

The touring-spec “CMX1100T Rebel” continues to be finished in a high-quality “Iridium Gray Metallic,” while the street-custom “CMX1100 Rebel SE” continues to be finished in “Matte Ballistic Black Metallic” with bronze wheels. All models are equipped with a dual-clutch transmission (DCT) as standard and are Euro 5+ compliant.

The Rebel series originated with the CMX500 Rebel, which is popular among young riders, and has established a solid position as a new-generation cruiser that combines free customization and the “bobber style.” The CMX1100, which inherits that DNA, adds power and technology to the lightness of the 500cc version, evolving into a model that combines a high-quality ride feel with a strong presence.

A combination of sophisticated style and comfort

The CMX1100 Rebel’s styling was created by Honda’s North American design team, and is simple yet muscular. Its steel fenders, beautiful 13.6L fuel tank, and low-slung form epitomize the minimalism of a bobber. The φ175mm round LED headlights are configured as four lights, combining classic and modern styles. The newly designed 5-inch TFT color display uses optical bonding technology to improve visibility and is compatible with Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity, allowing for intuitive navigation, phone calls, and music control.

In terms of riding position, the comfortable riding position improved for the 2025 model continues. The handlebars are positioned higher and closer, and the pedals are moved forward. The thicker seat maintains a low 710mm height, allowing for a relaxed riding position. The touring model “T” comes with a semi-cowl and 16L + 19L hard cases, enhancing practicality for long-distance riding. Meanwhile, the SE is equipped with bar-end mirrors, a diamond-stitched seat, short fenders, and more, and is finished as a factory-made custom model.

An evolved 1084cc engine and electronically controlled DCT

At its heart is a parallel twin-cylinder engine derived from the CRF1100L Africa Twin. The compression ratio for the 2025 model has been increased to 10.5:1, delivering a maximum power output of 88.4 PS at 7,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 98 Nm at 4,750 rpm. A 32% increase in flywheel inertia has enhanced the pulsating feel and torque characteristics in the low and mid-range. It also features a newly designed muffler that produces a deep exhaust note, making it a statement in both urban and touring situations.

In addition to the electronically controlled throttle “Throttle By Wire” and three riding modes (STANDARD/RAIN/SPORT), it also comes equipped with two custom modes. It also integrates HSTC (torque control), wheelie control, and cruise control to meet a variety of riding needs.

Chassis and equipment that combines rigidity and comfort

The engine is mounted on a steel diamond frame, achieving both rigidity and lightness. The 1520mm wheelbase and 30° caster angle create a balance between straight-line stability and cornering ability. The φ43mm cartridge front forks are titanium-coated, and the rear features a piggyback shock absorber. Preload is adjustable both front and rear, allowing for optimal settings for everything from city riding to touring.

The brakes are equipped with large diameter 330mm floating discs with 4-piston radial mount calipers, and the ABS has a dual channel configuration. The front and rear tires are thick 130/70B18 and 180/65B16, typical of the bobber style. The vehicle weight is kept light at 236kg (237kg for the SE and 250kg for the T).

There is also a wide range of genuine accessories available, including the “Style Pack” to enhance the style, the “Comfort Pack” to enhance comfort, and the “Travel Pack” for travel. Riders can freely customize the bike to suit their style with accessories such as a specially stitched seat, carrier, and heated grips.
