Yamaha YZF-R25 ABS…690,800 yen (including 10% consumption tax)
Yamaha has announced the 2025 models of the YZF-R3 ABS and YZF-R25 ABS, which are based on the concept of “superbikes you can ride every day.” Both models, which combine riding performance, styling, and ease of use in everyday life, have been highly popular among young people, especially those in their teens and twenties. The YZF-R3 ABS is priced at 726,000 yen, while the YZF-R25 ABS is priced at 690,800 yen (both including 10% consumption tax).
Sophisticated design that inherits the DNA of the “YZF-R” series
The biggest feature of the 2025 model is its stylish body design, which inherits and evolves the DNA of the YZF-R series. Changes from the previous model include the adoption of an A&S (Assist & Slipper) clutch, compatibility with the dedicated smartphone app “YAMAHA Motorcycle Connect (Y-Connect),” and a USB Type-A compatible socket, all of which enhance convenience.
Additionally, slimmer seat width and side covers have improved foot reach, enhancing comfort for everyday use. The engine exterior is painted in crystal graphite, emphasizing its mechanical feel and creating a sporty appearance.
Available in three different color variations
The 2025 model is available in the following three color variations.
- The “blue” color symbolizes Yamaha racing and expresses the sporty functionality and advanced nature of the “YZF-R” series.
- “Matte Dark Gray” uses two different shades of black to create a serious and sporty image.
- “Matte Pearl White” uses polarized pearl to express a new sense of speed and create the extraordinary feeling of a super sports car.
A&S clutch improves operability and driving stability
The 2025 model newly adopts the A&S (Assist & Slipper) clutch. This reduces the lever operation load and provides smooth vehicle behavior even when downshifting. * “A&S” and “Assist & Slipper” are registered trademarks of F.C.C. Co., Ltd.
In addition, the smartphone connectivity function has been enhanced to support the dedicated app “YAMAHA Motorcycle Connect (Y-Connect).”Furthermore, it is equipped with a USB Type-A compatible socket, greatly improving everyday convenience.
Both models are highly popular, especially among young people.
The 320cm3 YZF-R3 ABS and the 249cm3 YZF-R25 ABS combine high-level riding performance and styling with ease of use for everyday use, and are particularly popular among young people in their teens and twenties.
The 2025 models feature improvements in response to user feedback, such as improved foot reach, improved operability, and enhanced smartphone connectivity. Both models further evolve the concept of a “superbike you can ride every day,” and are sure to attract new attention, especially from younger riders.

*1 Fuel consumption rates are values under specified test conditions. They may vary depending on various conditions, such as the customer’s usage environment (weather, traffic congestion, etc.), driving method, vehicle condition (equipment, specifications), and maintenance status.
*2 Steady-state fuel consumption values are fuel consumption rates based on actual measurements when driving at a constant vehicle speed.
*3 WMTC mode values are calculated based on the results of exhaust gas tests measured in a driving mode that is an international standard and includes starting, accelerating, and stopping. Driving mode classes are classified by engine displacement and top speed.
For information on WMTC mode values, please also refer to the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association website (http://www.jama.or.jp/motorcycle/).
