Honda Hornet 2.0…approximately 267,000 yen

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) announced the new Hornet 2.0, which is compatible with OBD2B, on February 19, 2025.

It is priced at 156,953 rupees (approximately 267,000 yen) ex-showroom in Delhi and is now on sale at all HMSI Red Wing and Big Wing stores.

The new model features enhanced styling, the latest technology, and improved safety features.

More aggressive

The Hornet 2.0 has been a game changer in its segment since its debut in August 2020, and has previously featured a special MotoGP edition model that has been well received by customers. This OBD2B compatible model offers an even more refined riding experience, equipped with the latest technology and superior safety features.

The new model features aggressive graphics on the body panels, further accentuating its aggressive stance. An all-LED lighting setup improves visibility and presence. Four color options are available: Pearl Igneous Black, Radiant Red Metallic, Athletic Blue Metallic, and Matte Axis Gray Metallic.

Equipped with a 184cc single-cylinder engine

The engine is an OBD2B-compatible 184.40cc single-cylinder, four-stroke engine that produces 12.50kW at 8,000rpm and a maximum torque of 15.7Nm at 6,000rpm. It is mated to a five-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch for smooth gear shifts and to prevent the rear wheel from locking up during aggressive downshifts.

Equipped with smartphone connect function

A new 4.2-inch TFT display and Bluetooth connectivity via the Honda RoadSync app provide access to navigation support, incoming call alerts, and SMS notifications. A new USB Type-C charging port also makes it easy to charge devices on the go. Safety improvements include Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) and dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system), providing excellent braking performance and stability in a variety of riding conditions.

There are no set dates for the release in Japan, but there is a possibility that it will be sold in Japan as a re-imported vehicle.

The Hornet has been revived in Japan with the “CB1000 Hornet” and “CB750 Hornet”, so there seems to be demand for it.
