A fusion of design that inherits the spirit of classic cars of the past and the latest technology

On July 4th, Suzuki unveiled the world premiere of its new neo-retro concept street bikes, the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT. Scheduled for release in Europe and North America starting in the summer of 2025, the bikes are garnering attention for their modern design that recreates the essence of Suzuki’s classic motorcycles of the past, and their generous incorporation of the latest technology.
Classic and modern style that stands out

The GSX-8T features a design reminiscent of the T500 (Titan), a popular high-performance naked bike from the 1960s. The matte black rear section accentuates the tank, and the shrouds feature a three-dimensional emblem with a billiards eight-ball motif, creating a style that harmonizes retro and modern. In contrast, the GSX-8TT is equipped with a headlight cowl and under-cowl reminiscent of road racers from the 1970s, and its refined, subdued color scheme, including black front forks and shrouds and gray seat rails, accentuates the sporty colors of the wheels and decals. The “TT” in the name stands for “Timeless,” and was chosen to reflect the desire to revive a classic worldview in the modern era.
Supporting riders with a lightweight body and advanced technology
Both models are equipped with the same 776cc water-cooled, four-stroke, in-line, two-cylinder DOHC engine that has also been highly praised in the GSX-8S/R. The combination of a highly rigid steel frame and a lightweight aluminum swingarm delivers agility and comfort. The bike also comes equipped with the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS), an electronic control system that supports the rider, including the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS), electronically controlled throttle, and bidirectional quickshifter. Furthermore, the bike is equipped with an ELIIY Power lithium-ion battery, which is lightweight, compact, and ensures excellent starting even in low temperatures, allowing riders to enjoy sporty riding with peace of mind.
Easy-to-use body size and specifications
The new GSX-8T has a seat height of 815mm and an equipped weight of 201kg, while the GSX-8TT has 810mm and 203kg, making them easy to handle. The wheels are cast and the tires are 120/70ZR17 in the front and 180/55ZR17 in the rear, both fitted with tubeless tires. The fuel tank holds 16.5L, and in WMTC mode, the fuel economy is 23.8km/L, with CO2 emissions of 99g/km. Designed with consideration for not only the fun of riding but also environmental friendliness, the bike can be expected to be useful in a wide range of situations, from everyday riding to touring.
The new GSX-8T and GSX-8TT connect the tradition of Suzuki’s fine motorcycles to the future with the latest technology. They are sure to appeal to many motorcycle enthusiasts, from classic motorcycle fans to riders seeking the latest equipment.
