The new Burgman 400 ABS is a popular model known for its sophisticated style and premium ride. It debuted in 1998 as Japan’s first 400cc scooter, and after undergoing a full model change, was renamed to its current name in 2017. In addition to its slim, sporty body, it features LED headlights, rear lights, and a link-type monoshock suspension, ensuring comfortable riding in urban areas and on winding roads. In 2021, traction control was added, and the dual spark engine and high-atomization injectors achieved excellent combustion efficiency and smooth power output characteristics while complying with the 2020 exhaust gas regulations.
This model change introduces three new colors: “Reflective Blue Metallic,” “Pearl Matte Shadow Green,” and “Matte Black Metallic No. 2.” It features thick seats with a reputation for comfort and adjustable backrests, a 42-liter under-seat trunk, boxes on both sides under the handlebars, and a 12V DC socket. The price is 980,100 yen (tax included).
Meanwhile, the RM-Z series, a vehicle designed specifically for off-road competitions, will also be revamped for the 2026 model year. The RM-Z250 is equipped with a 249cc engine, and thanks to revised intake port shapes and the adoption of twin injectors, it delivers well-balanced power across the entire range. It also comes equipped with Suzuki Holeshot Assist Control (S-HAC), which provides powerful assistance when starting, and its KYB coil spring front suspension and lightweight rear springs ensure excellent road-holding performance. It will be released on December 23rd for 858,000 yen (tax included).
Furthermore, the RM-Z450 combines a 449cc engine with a large-diameter air filter and a straight-line outlet tube to improve intake efficiency. Its aluminum frame and swingarm enhance cornering performance, and it features a full-fledged SHOWA BFRC rear suspension. This model also comes equipped with S-HAC and will be released on December 23rd, the same day as the RM-Z250, for a price of 1,010,900 yen (tax included).
Both models incorporate the technology that Suzuki has accumulated over the years, with the Burgman being aimed at urban riders and the RM-Z series being aimed at riders aiming to win in the motocross scene. Details of each model can be found on the Suzuki official website.
