A permanent electric mobility experience facility

Kizuki, a company that operates a rental bike business, opened a permanent electric mobility experience facility, “e-Mobility Park Tokyo Tama,” on November 29th. It is located in Tsumugu Hiroba in “AEON Mall Musashimurayama.”
This will be the first permanent electric mobility experience facility in Japan. The background to this is the “Zero Emission Tokyo” initiative being promoted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. The city aims to eliminate gasoline-powered vehicles by 2035. The facility was built with support from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government as part of the “e-Mobility Utilization Promotion Project” initiative to achieve this goal.
With the lifting of the ban on electric scooters and other designated mopeds, sales of small electric mobility vehicles are expected to continue to increase. This facility will provide an opportunity for people aged 16 and over to experience e-mobility in a casual manner, supporting users and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s initiatives.
More than 20 of the latest e-mobility models are scheduled to be permanently installed at the event, including the Streamo, a special moped developed by a Honda-backed startup, the Honda EM1 e: electric moped, and even the Kawasaki Ninja e-1 and BMW CE02, which are both standard motorcycles.
This is the first permanent electric mobility experience facility in Japan, but as mobility has become more accessible, efforts to ensure compliance with traffic rules are also necessary. We hope that this facility will function not only as a test drive location, but also as a place to help users of electric mobility vehicles (no license required) and those wishing to purchase them understand traffic rules.
