Suzuki GSX-8R…1,199,000 yen

Suzuki released the 2025 model of the GSX-8R on March 14, 2025. The price has been revised to 1,199,000 yen (tax included). Three color options are available: Triton Blue Metallic (YSF), Matte Sword Silver Metallic (QKA), and Matte Black Metallic No. 2 (YKV).
Based on the GSX-8S, the GSX-8R is designed to make winding roads and circuit driving even more enjoyable, and is a bike that combines comfort and sporty performance.
Suzuki’s unique “cross balancer” engine makes it easy to ride

At the heart of the GSX-8R is a 775cc parallel twin-cylinder engine. It uses Suzuki’s unique “cross balancer” to effectively suppress vibration while achieving smooth acceleration performance. It delivers a maximum output of 83PS (61kW) at 8,500rpm and a maximum torque of 78Nm at 6,800rpm, giving it easy-to-handle power characteristics in a wide range of situations, from urban areas to winding roads and highways. Its appeal lies in its powerful acceleration, which is achieved by making the most of the torque at low and mid-speed ranges.
The frame is designed to be lightweight and have an excellent balance of rigidity, providing sharp handling suitable for sports riding. The front suspension uses a SHOWA SFF-BP inverted fork, achieving supple movement and excellent road-holding ability. The rear is equipped with a link-type mono shock, achieving both a comfortable ride and sporty driving performance.
Electronic control system is also enhanced

The electronic control system is also well-equipped. It is equipped with the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS) and the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS), which allows the rider to select the output characteristics according to their preference. Three output modes are available, providing the optimum power delivery for the situation. The Suzuki Traction Control System (STCS) is also equipped, and can be set to three levels + OFF. This allows for stable riding that is tailored to the road conditions and the rider’s skill.
The bike features a bidirectional quick shift system that allows for smooth gear changes, allowing for upshifts and downshifts without operating the clutch or throttle. Furthermore, the Suzuki Easy Start System allows the engine to be started with the push of a button. It also features a low RPM assist function that prevents the engine from stalling when starting, supporting comfortable riding.
Design and performance that can withstand circuit driving

In terms of design, it inherits the heritage of the GSX series as a sports bike, while featuring a sharp cowling that incorporates the latest trends. The exposed engine and seat rails emphasize functional beauty, creating an advanced and powerful styling. The full cowling not only improves aerodynamic performance while riding, but also provides excellent wind protection, ensuring a comfortable ride even on long-distance touring.
The brake system uses a radial mount caliper on the front to ensure high braking power. ABS is also standard equipment, improving safety. The wheels are 17-inch cast wheels, bringing out sporty driving performance.
