Platform-type mobility that can be combined or separated for ultimate versatility

ROIDZ TECH will unveil the “exhibition series,” a new design unit for its platform-based mobility vehicle, “Raptor,” at the “Japan Mobility Show 2025,” which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight from October 30th to November 9th.

The Raptor has a three-wheel configuration (two front wheels, one rear wheel), and its greatest feature is that the base unit (lower part) and design unit (upper part) can be separated and combined. By replacing the upper design unit, the vehicle’s shape and function can be freely reconfigured, aiming for “modular mobility.”

This structure allows creators and businesses to freely develop design units, and the company claims that it will “go beyond the boundaries of transportation to create new businesses and cultures, and bring about fundamental change and growth in the transportation infrastructure itself.”

Four unique models show the future of mobility

The exhibition series announced this time includes the following four models:

“Pandion (Raptor Series Flagship Model)”: The first development model in the series, it symbolizes the brand’s design language. It uses a carbon monocoque frame, achieving a sleek silhouette while being lightweight and highly rigid. It was selected as one of the “Best 100” in the 2024 Good Design Awards.

“Sparrow (Raptor Series Racing Model)”: A racing model. In collaboration with a team competing in the FIM Superbike World Championship, it pursues compactness and light maneuverability. It has an aggressive character compared to the Pandion.

“Alpaca (Raptor Series Compact Model)”: The simplest and most minimalist design in the series. Optimized for urban and everyday travel, the low seat height makes it easy to handle even for smaller riders.

“Lynx (Raptor Series Low-Position Racing Model)”: A model that emphasizes a low riding position and low center of gravity, enabling a sporty riding style with a forward-leaning posture. The name comes from the agile movements of a lynx.

Also on display was the “Rook (Raptor Series Autonomous Cargo Model),” designed for cargo and logistics applications, which features a box-shaped unit that can be converted into a dedicated unit or used to transport agricultural drones.

These diverse models offer a vision of a future in which mobility can be “customized” not just for “transportation,” but also for “purpose,” “style,” and “function.”

Operability and expandability supported by innovative technology

One notable aspect of the Raptor’s technology is that, in addition to its three-wheel configuration, the two front wheels are designed to lean. This allows for the agility of a motorcycle and the stability of a car, making it comfortable and stable for anyone to handle.

Furthermore, it employs advanced control and structure, including front independent lean suspension, variable differential lean dampers, a one-action linkage unit, and a hydraulic brake converter, and is designed to provide all users with “coolness and fun as a vehicle.”

In addition, an autonomous driving unit is also planned to be implemented, with the aim of expanding it into “logistics and security applications,” clearly indicating the intention to expand its role from “mobility” for moving objects to “motion infrastructure.”

A place for experiencing mobility and creating the future

At the Japan Mobility Show 2025, the Raptor will be exhibited at the FUTURE DESIGN FACTORY in the Tokyo Future Tour 2035 (West Exhibition Hall 2, 1st floor), and test drives will also be available.

Furthermore, in collaboration with Little Planet, an indoor theme park, a “digital art experience” will be held to stimulate children’s creativity and sense of inquiry. At the on-site workshop, children will draw original design units, which will then be made into 3D and displayed in a race on giant LED screens, creating a new fusion of play, learning, and mobility.
