Good Shape has announced the electric scooter “Smart Scooter BESS.” It will be available for pre-sale on Makuake from February 11, 2025.
This scooter is a 50cc moped class, and combines design, economy, and power. With rising gasoline prices and the planned end of production of conventional 50cc class mopeds, demand for electric mopeds is on the rise. Furthermore, with the popularity of electric kick scooters, there is also an increasing demand for stability and safety. Given this background, Good Shape sees demand for the “BESS.”
“BESS.” can be activated with a smartphone or a dedicated key. It can easily travel up steep slopes and has a range of approximately 50km. The unit starts at around 80,000 yen, making it economical at about 2 yen per kilometer. It has stable driving performance and is foldable, making it easy to carry. Furthermore, support is provided nationwide through affiliated stores and the company’s own support system.
In terms of design, it pursues a simple, stylish, minimalist design, eliminating ornamentation. Its design sets it apart from conventional e-bikes and sets a new benchmark for a new era. It comes in four colors: matte white, flamingo pink, mint green, and matte black, making it suitable for a wide range of ages.
A full charge costs 75 yen and has a range of 50km.

The test drive event is scheduled to be held at the company’s store in Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture (48-7 Imayakamicho, Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture) on February 23, 2025. A test drive event in Tokyo is also planned, and details will be announced in the Makuake activity report.
Good Shape is a mobility (communications and eBike) venture company that develops eBikes with beautiful designs and innovative functions.
