[Paradox Pokemon] Honda Corridon: First ride experience! Manned driving demo to be held at Motegi on September 26th

What is Honda Corridon?

Honda Corydon is a future mobility vehicle that recreates the shape of the legendary Pokémon Corydon that appears in the game “Pokémon Scarlet” under the supervision of The Pokémon Company. Corydon weighs 303.0 kg and is 2.5 m tall, and is faithfully reproduced in detail at almost life-size.

Since its first exhibit at Honda Welcome Plaza Aoyama in March 2025, development has continued, making full use of the design philosophy and simulation technology cultivated through Honda’s motorcycle business, as well as the advanced balance control technology of the Advanced Technology Research Institute. On August 3rd, it successfully completed its first run at Suzuka Circuit, and will finally be unveiled to the public at this Motegi event.

A special opportunity to experience riding a horse for the first time!

This exhibition event will feature the first-ever opportunity to ride the Honda Corydon, which has previously only been available to look at. This will be a rare opportunity for Pokémon fans and motorcycle enthusiasts to actually ride the Corydon they have admired in the video game world.

The vehicle will also be the first to be shown in a manned driving demonstration with people on board. Until now, only unmanned driving tests have been conducted, but this will be a historic moment when the vehicle will finally be shown running with people on board.

The story behind this project born from Honda’s sincerity

The Honda Corridon Project was inspired by the Toyota Miraidon, created by the Toyota Engineering Society in 2024. The project was started with the idea that “by taking on the Toyota Miraidon’s passion for manufacturing, Honda can create a Corridon that is truly Honda,” and is being driven by approximately 40 volunteers who were recruited from the Motorcycle and Power Products Business and the Advanced Technology Research Institute.

With the slogan “Honda’s sincerity will turn children’s dreams into reality,” Honda is pooling its technological capabilities to push the Corridon, which appears in the game world, to the limits as a real-life form of mobility.

Corydon is a legendary Pokémon that will appear in the 2022 game “Pokémon Scarlet,” and is positioned as a companion that grows as it travels with the protagonist. It has the ability to change its form depending on the situation, and as the story progresses, it regains various abilities, such as a “natural cell” that walks on four legs, a “fast cell” that runs on powerful limbs, a “water cell” that swims at high speed, and a “wind cell” that rides the wind and soars through the sky.
