The enthusiasm unleashed by a unique high-revving engine: the essence of the 400cc inline-four

The Ninja ZX-4RR is known as a supersport bike equipped with a unique small-displacement inline-four. Its 399cc water-cooled, four-stroke, parallel-four DOHC engine delivers a maximum output of 57 kW (77 PS) at 14,500 rpm, and at higher revs, it delivers an even more exhilarating feeling with a sharp roar. Its responsiveness at low and mid-range speeds is also refined, making it a versatile bike for both city riding and racing. Its engine design, which transcends the 400cc category and combines high-revving excitement with everyday ease of riding, is the ZX-4R series’ greatest selling point.
Sharp handling thanks to the chassis and suspension inherited from WorldSBK

The chassis, which features a compact diamond frame with a steel tube truss structure, inherits the design philosophy of the WorldSBK machine, the ZX-10RR, and combines sharp cornering characteristics with high feedback performance. The suspension is equipped with Showa SFF-BP inverted forks (with preload adjustment) at the front and a Showa BFRC-lite rear shock absorber, the same as the ZX-10R, at the rear, which firmly supports road feel and off-road performance. With this full-fledged equipment, the ZX-4RR fully demonstrates its agile movements both on city streets and on the circuit.
Evolution of equipment as the highest grade, fusion of driving performance and convenience

The ZX-4RR is positioned as the most fully equipped, top-of-the-line model in its class. Like the SE, it is equipped with a quick shifter (KQS), allowing seamless up and down gear changes without clutch operation. It also comes standard with traction control, an integrated riding mode that combines multiple modes, and a TFT color LCD display, allowing optimal control according to riding conditions. It’s packed with features that ensure high levels of safety and ease of use, including LED lighting, dual disc brakes, and radially mounted monoblock calipers.
