Honda Motor Co., Ltd. has announced a 50th anniversary edition of the GL1800 Gold Wing Tour in Europe as a 2025 model.
50th anniversary commemorative color released

The Gold Wing has been an iconic touring bike from Honda since it was first released in 1975. To celebrate its 50th anniversary, limited edition models and special paint options are available, including a “half and half” version that combines the original and the latest model.
The 2025 Gold Wing Tour features numerous upgrades, including a double-wishbone front suspension, a horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine, a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT), and a seven-inch TFT screen. These upgrades provide a comfortable touring ride and high handling stability. New riding modes (TOUR, SPORT, ECON, RAIN) allow the rider to adjust power and braking force according to their needs.
You can connect your smartphone via Wi-Fi and update the speaker.

Additionally, Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ connectivity is now available via Wi-Fi. New speakers with improved sound quality provide a four-wheeled vehicle-like connectivity and user experience. Additionally, the navigation system now includes a gyrocompass for uninterrupted guidance in tunnels.
The equipment has also evolved. The electric screen can be adjusted in angle and height to ensure rider comfort. The seat is covered in suede and synthetic leather, maintaining a comfortable position even on long tours. The passenger backrest can also be adjusted in angle to support a relaxed ride. The new TFT display allows riding information, navigation, and audio information to be viewed at a glance and can be operated intuitively.
A limited number of miniature models combining the original and current models are included.

The 50th Anniversary Edition comes with three special color options: Eternal Gold, Mahogany Brown Metallic, and Bordeaux Red Metallic. The first 1,833 units will be limited to a set of miniature models, each half depicting the original and the current model.
Riding performance has also been carefully considered. The die-cast aluminum twin-beam frame and double wishbone front suspension ensure stable riding performance and provide smooth handling. In addition, rear spring preload and front and rear damping levels can be electronically adjusted according to the riding mode, allowing for optimal settings to suit the riding situation.
DCT improves low-speed connectivity

The engine has been made more compact by increasing the number of valves, and boasts a maximum output of 93kW and a maximum torque of 170Nm. The throttle-by-wire system adjusts the engine’s power delivery according to four riding modes (TOUR, SPORT, ECON, RAIN). This allows the rider to enjoy optimal performance under any riding conditions.
The 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) delivers smooth, fast shifts and is optimized for low-speed maneuverability. A walking mode allows for slow forward and reverse movements, making maneuvering in tight spaces easier. This reduces stress when maneuvering around town and parking.
It is no exaggeration to say that the Gold Wing Tour is not only luxurious, but also has all the features necessary for touring. It is the rider’s ultimate travel partner. This model, celebrating its 50th anniversary, embodies Honda’s technological prowess and tradition, solidifying its position as the pinnacle of touring bikes.
