2026 Z400 Super Naked to be released in new colors

Kawasaki Motors Japan will release the 2026 model of its mid-class super naked machine, the Z400, on November 1, 2025. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is 770,000 yen (base price 700,000 yen, consumption tax 70,000 yen). The main changes from the previous model are the updated color and graphics.

The new color scheme is “Metallic Matte Graphene Steel Gray x Metallic Flat Spark Black,” which further accentuates the cutting-edge “Sugomi” design and adds new appeal to the dynamic styling.

Powerful torque characteristics of the 398cc parallel twin engine

The Z400 is equipped with a 398cc liquid-cooled parallel twin-cylinder engine. It delivers powerful torque from the low rpm range and smooth acceleration, making it an engine that is very easy to handle for beginners and veterans alike. It is a power unit that is easy to handle in a wide range of situations, from city riding to winding roads.

It offers an exciting ride that lives up to the name of the super naked “Z.” The engine characteristics that contribute to “Sugomi” performance are designed to be enjoyable for riders of all skill levels.

Lightweight trellis frame provides agile handling

The lightweight trellis frame provides excellent stability and maneuverability, giving the Z400 agile handling. It also makes it easy to turn the body when cornering, allowing you to fully enjoy sports riding.

It combines nimble handling with stable riding performance, and while it is in the middle class, it has the potential to be a full-fledged super naked machine.

Dynamic styling with a low front

The dynamic styling with a low front position inherits the cutting-edge body shape of the “Sugomi” design. The unique silhouette that hints at riding performance will captivate riders.

The aggressive front mask and flowing body lines create a strong presence. The eye-catching design, whether stationary or in motion, is a testament to the super naked tradition of the Z series.

Models manufactured in Thailand with ABS as standard equipment

This model is produced for the Japanese market at Kawasaki Motors Enterprise (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (KMT), an overseas factory of Kawasaki Motors Co., Ltd. It comes equipped with ABS as standard and is designed with safety in mind.
