The “Z125 Monkey FS 5th Limited Edition” in the photo is equipped with a genuine rear shock, but the “Z125 N Monkey FS 5th Limited Edition (933,000 yen/tax included)” is equipped with a high-performance Nitron rear shock.

What is the “Spencer color” that has been adopted for various Honda models?

This is a modified CB750F, the Honda factory machine that Freddie Spencer rode to victory in the American Daytona 100 Mile Race when he was a young rider. The exterior is fitted with CB900F exterior parts in the “USA version color.”

Freddie Spencer, a legendary rider who was known as a genius and who was a great success in the World GP 500cc class (now MotoGP), the highest level of road racing, rode a modified Honda CB750F when he won the Daytona 100 Mile Race in the United States as a young rider.

Originally, the coloring and design was adopted as the “USA version color” for the Honda CB900F, but due to Spencer’s outstanding performance in the World GP, it was later nicknamed the “Spencer color (official color name: Digital Silver Metallic).” It has been used on various genuine Honda models, including the CB series and limited edition Monkey 50 models.

Available in four different colors and specifications, for a total of eight colors

This body design has been reproduced on a fully plated base in the “Z125 Monkey FS 5th Limited Edition” by the motorcycle customization brand “Legare.” This vehicle is currently on sale as a complete machine at domestic dealerships, including “Honda Dream Kashiwa.”

The Monkey 125 Custom released by Legare has different specifications.

1: Z125 Monkey FS… 597,000 yen (tax included)

2: Z125 N Monkey… 705,000 yen (tax included)

3: Z125 Monkey FS 5th Limited Edition… 825,000 yen (tax included)

4: Z125 N Monkey FS 5th Limited Edition… 933,000 yen (tax included)

The lineup includes the above four types. All models feature the Spencer design, a three-dimensional HONDA emblem, an original decal on the gas tank, and an original ornament mark on the handlebar post.

The lineup includes eight colors: silver, black, yellow, red, blue, matte black, matte gray, and plated (limited edition).

Also noteworthy is the luxurious and beautiful paintwork by the master painter “YF Design”.

The plated “Z125 Monkey FS 5th Limited Edition” is a type that was released in 2023, the 5th anniversary of the release of the Monkey 125. This is the reason for the “5th” in the name.

The paint for the Z125 Monkey FS series is handled by YF Design, a one-of-a-kind name in the motorcycle paint industry. YF Design is also famous for designing helmets for super-famous GP riders such as Daijiro Kato, Dani Pedrosa, Kenny Roberts, Tetsuya Harada, Shinya Nakano, and Takaaki Nakagami. The paintwork, done by top-notch technicians and using high-quality materials, results in a luxurious and beautiful finish that sets it apart from ordinary mass-produced motorcycles.

It’s actually a Monkey 125. The exterior kit transforms it into a CB-F style, and the deformed look is just right. [Monkey Meeting in Tama]
