Kawasaki Motors Japan unveiled its original apparel for the 2025 fall/winter season in Kawasaki PLAZA Apparel & Goods Style Magazine good TIMES on September 11th. The theme is “Everything you need to choose for fall/winter, so you can find what you want!” The diverse lineup will be available at Kawasaki Plazas nationwide for riders and fashion enthusiasts who want to enjoy style while preparing for the cold.

The first thing to look out for is the Kawasaki All-Season Jacket. Based on the design of a mountain parka, it features a water-repellent outer material, ample pockets, and a reversible inner jacket, allowing you to wear it however you like. It also takes safety into consideration, with full protection provided as standard, with CE Level 2 protectors on the shoulders and elbows and CE Level 1 protectors on the back and chest. The price is 36,300 yen (tax included), and it is available in blue and black, with sizes from S to 3L. Delivery is scheduled for late September 2025.

Next up is the Kawasaki Motorec All-Season Parka. It has an anorak-style design and a double layered construction with an outer layer with built-in protectors and a warm inner layer, making the waterproof outer layer perfect for sudden rain showers. It comes standard with urethane foam padding on the back, and an optional chest protector can be fitted. It is available in chino and dark gray, in sizes WM to 3L, and costs 38,280 yen including tax. This item is also scheduled for delivery in late September.

Also new is the “Kawasaki Smart Winter Gloves.” They feature a soft texture with excellent insulation thanks to their padding. All fingertips are touchscreen compatible, allowing for smartphone and navigation operation. The design includes knuckle protectors for improved impact resistance. Available in khaki and black, sizes WM to 3L, and priced at 8,580 yen (tax included). These gloves are also scheduled for delivery in late September.

Volkswagen unveils next-generation battery and energy technologies in Europe

The Volkswagen Group, in collaboration with PowerCo and Elli, will mark new milestones for European battery technology at the IAA Mobility in 2025. First, the Group will unveil its first solid-state battery test vehicle, a step toward high energy density and safety using QuantumScape cells. Second, the Group will introduce PowerCo’s unified cell and cell-to-pack technology to its “Electric Urban Car Family,” aiming for a range of approximately 450 km and a charging time of less than 25 minutes. Third, Elli will build a large-scale energy storage system with a capacity of 20 MW/40 MWh in Salzgitter, laying the foundation for contributing to the stabilization of Europe’s power grid. By taking control of the technology in-house, the Volkswagen Group aims to deliver sustainable mobility and energy solutions that are both cost-effective and flexible.  

Daytona releases “High-Back Low Chair MIL” made with highly durable aluminum

Daytona has begun general sales of its new “High-Back Low Chair MIL.” It features a high backrest, allowing users to rest their body up to their head, and a low-profile seat. It allows users to sit cross-legged or stretch their legs out, allowing them to relax in any position, making it ideal for stargazing, reading, and more. The frame is made of A7075 aluminum alloy, known as ultra-super duralumin, and has a static load capacity of 120 kg. The chair measures approximately 740mm high x 550mm wide x 600mm deep, and when stored, it measures approximately 480mm high x 140mm wide x 130mm deep. It comes in two colors: black and forest khaki. Its price is 8,965 yen (tax included). Replacement parts for the seat, frame, storage bag, rubber caps, and other components will also be sold separately.

Custom Japan has announced the SRD5 Slim, a smart motorcycle monitor. It supports CarPlay, Android Auto, and AirPlay, and features a 5-inch IPS LCD with IP65 dust and water resistance. It has a high brightness of 800nit and a resolution of 1024×600. It is temperature resistant from -20°C to +70°C, and can also play music and videos via MicroSD card. It has built-in Bluetooth 5.1 and Wi-Fi (2.4GHz), and comes with a USB Type-C power cable. It also includes a tool kit, a sunshade hood, and a mounting bracket, and is priced at 15,800 yen (tax included). This slim model is ideal for touring, delivery, and business use.

New merchandise for “Laid-Back Camp△ SEASON 3” will be released! Must-see items for fans include pass cases and key chains

The COSPA Group, which handles official character costumes, apparel, and merchandise, has announced new merchandise for “Laid-Back Camp△ SEASON 3.” The lineup includes a pass case featuring Shima Rin and Kakamigahara Nadeshiko (with a carabiner), a reel keychain featuring Shima Rin on a silhouette bike, and an eco bag, among other items. These will be sold in advance at Tokyo Game Show 2025 and at shops in the locations modeled after the series, with general sales scheduled for late December 2025. The pass case and keychain will cost 1,650 yen (tax included), and the eco bag will cost 2,200 yen. Reiko Miyoshi, Riko Fukuyama and other distinguished guests take to the stage at “MOTHER LAKE RALLY 2025,” a festival for female riders

The “MOTHER LAKE RALLY 2025,” an event for female riders organized by the Japan Riders Forum, will be held in Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture, from October 18th to 19th, 2025. The theme of the event is “a trip that doesn’t compete for speed or distance, but rather enjoys touring spots around Lake Biwa, interacting with the local community, and meeting fellow riders,” and is open to all female riders, from beginners to veterans. Former international rally rider and essayist Reiko Miyoshi will be on stage to offer “One-Point Riding Advice,” while motorcycle personality Riko Fukuyama will be on stage to discuss “Motorcycle Photo Posing Techniques.” MC Seiko Yamaguchi will serve as MC, and Nagahama Mayor Nobuyoshi Asami will deliver a speech on behalf of the host city. Registration is open until September 30th, with a capacity of 1,000 vehicles. Solo and tandem classes will be available, and the event will be held at the Kohoku THG Twin Arena, including morning events.  

Professional rider Emily Carlson demonstrates at Triumph National Rally 2025

Triumph Motorcycles Japan will host a demonstration ride by top female enduro racer Emily Carlson at the fan meeting “TRIUMPH NATIONAL RALLY 2025” (October 4th). The special off-road course at the venue will provide an opportunity to experience the performance of the TF Series. The ride will be held twice: from 11:55 AM to 12:05 PM and from 2:25 PM to 2:35 PM. Emily, originally from Sweden and based in Australia, is a talented rider who continues to compete both domestically and internationally in events such as the ISDE (International Six-Day Enduro) and AORC. Stefan Granquist is also scheduled to attend the event, and anticipation is building for a riding session between the two. The event is also positioned as a “fan meeting” where Triumph fans can gather to show off their beloved bikes and interact with each other. Advance registration is required.

Brahman, the 0.9kg pure titanium stove, revolutionizes solo and motorcycle travel

Ichibanboshi Co., Ltd.’s outdoor brand, Sorge, has launched pre-sales of its pure titanium mini iron stove, “Brahman,” on Makuake. Ten days after its launch, the crowdfunding campaign was a huge success, raising 3.79 million yen, roughly 12 times the target amount. Weighing just 0.9 kg, it’s roughly 40% lighter than stainless steel, making it ideal for hiking camping and motorcycle trips. It boasts five functions: cooking, heating, lighting, relaxation, and insect repellent. It can be used continuously for up to 12 hours, and features a large-capacity tank, a core stopper, and a two-way door for ease of use. The general retail price is 55,000 yen (tax included), while the Makuake exclusive price is 36,500 yen. Rewards are scheduled to be shipped at the end of November. 

A home for cat and motorcycle lovers: “YOSHITOMI BASE” – Preview event and rescue cat adoption event held

To celebrate the completion of YOSHITOMI BASE, a new apartment building constructed by Neko Real Estate Co., Ltd. in Kikuchi City, Kumamoto Prefecture, a preview event and rescue cat adoption event were held on Sunday, September 14, 2025. The first floor is a residence with a dirt-floored garage for motorcycles, designed so that motorcycles can be brought in from the front door. The second floor is a cat-only residence designed with living with cats in mind, with a catwalk, cat litter box space, and measures to prevent cats from entering the kitchen. The 1LDK apartments have floor space of approximately 40.71m² to 42.83m². Free internet, delivery boxes, and 200V outlets for EVs are provided in each parking space.  

Bike King promotes “a lifestyle with motorcycles” to young people at a-nation

Bike King & Company exhibited a booth for the first time at a-nation, one of Japan’s largest music festivals, held on August 30th and 31st. In order to foster an affinity for motorcycle culture among young people, the company collaborated with the dance and vocal group GENIC. At the venue, life-size panels of GENIC members and several motorcycles, including the Z900RS, Cross Cub 50, and RZV500, were displayed, encouraging visitors to take photos with them. In addition, a campaign was launched in which participants voted on the theme of “What bike would suit a GENIC member?” and a Cross Cub 50 was entered into a lottery to win a prize. Through these efforts, the company was able to appeal to those who have never ridden a motorcycle, and was a step towards realizing its corporate vision of being “a lifelong partner for motorcycle life.”  

Kawasaki launches campaign offering 30,000 yen support coupons with purchase of “W230/MEGURO S1”

Kawasaki Motors Japan has launched the “W230/MEGURO S1 Debut Support Campaign” for new buyers of the “W230” and “MEGURO S1” (2025 models). The campaign runs from September 1 to December 26, 2025. Customers who purchase eligible models at any Kawasaki Plaza store and complete registration will receive a purchase support coupon worth ¥30,000 (tax included). The coupon can be used not only for the motorcycle itself, but also for apparel, genuine accessories and parts, original clothing and goods, riding gear, equipment, and paid owner support. Use is limited to the store where the coupon was purchased; any excess amount is the customer’s responsibility. The coupon expires on January 16, 2026. Kawasaki Plaza, with 94 stores nationwide, aims to provide services that support customers’ entire riding life, not just motorcycle sales.

Kawasaki Plaza Chiba Sakuragi reopened on Friday, September 5, 2025, conveniently located along National Route 51, just 1 km from the Kaizuka Interchange on the Keiyo Road. The newly renovated store will prioritize accessibility as the gateway between Narita International Airport and the Chiba Bay Area. The bright and clean showroom, with its wood-grain floors and white ceiling, features new models and a wide selection of Plaza-exclusive apparel and merchandise. The store also features iconic “cages” showcasing motorcycles, an island display for easy access to products, a community space for riders to gather, and a heritage wall showcasing the brand’s history. In a first for the network, the network will broadcast the “MotoGP™ Night Live Eve Festival” live on the night of the 27th, featuring rider talk sessions and a special live performance by the popular idol group CANDY TUNE. Official PR ambassador Yumi Wakatsuki will join the broadcast for the first time on the following Sunday, the 28th, for the final, adding to the excitement of the race as a guest.
