The Chieftain Power Plus 112 was unveiled for the first time in Japan.
The in-house water-cooled engine “PowerPlus108” installed in the bagger model launched in 2019 is a 108 cubic inch (1768cc) water-cooled 60-degree V-twin OHC 4-valve short-stroke engine boasting a maximum output of 112hp and a maximum torque of 178Nm. The even more powerful “PowerPlus112” of this PowerPlus engine will be available from the 2025 model. The “CHIEFTAIN POWER PLUS 112” equipped with the PowerPlus112 was unveiled in Japan for the first time at the Indian Motorcycle booth at the Osaka Motorcycle Show held from March 21st to 23rd.
The 112 cubic inch Power Plus 112 delivers a maximum output of 126hp and a maximum torque of 181Nm.
The 112 cubic inch (1834cc) engine that powered the winning vehicle in the 2024 season of the “King of BAGGERS” American race series, where Indian and Harley-Davidson bagger models compete for speed, produces a powerful and torquey maximum output of 126hp and a maximum torque of 181.4Nm. It is installed in the Chieftain Power Plus series and Challenger Limited with 112 package. Despite its classic style, it is equipped with advanced electronic control devices, making its powerful torque easy to handle and providing a comfortable ride.
The uniquely shaped fairing prevents fatigue even on long rides.
The tail lamp is a simple type that also serves as a turn signal. It is very compact compared to the body.
