EM1 e: and Honda Mobile Power Pack e: (European model)
The purpose of this demonstration experiment is to verify the acceptability of battery sharing services in Europe, the suitability of the new battery swap station that will be tested, and the viability of the service as a business.

Honda Power Pack Exchanger e:
Using the EM1 e: electric commuter motorcycle sold by Honda in Europe , the company will test a battery sharing service for the Honda Mobile Power Pack e: swappable battery at three Honda Power Pack Exchanger e: battery swap stations in Malmö . For this demonstration experiment, Honda will provide the hardware and systems, including 30 EM1 e: units, 60 Honda Mobile Power Pack e:
units, and three Honda Power Pack Exchanger e: units, as well as after-sales service. GoCimo was founded in 2022 with the aim of resolving issues such as rising CO2
emissions and traffic congestion
in the delivery and transportation industries due to the expansion of the urban logistics market . To date, the company has operated battery sharing services in two Swedish cities (Stockholm and Gothenburg). For this
demonstration experiment, GoCimo will be responsible for the operation of the battery sharing service, customer acquisition activities, customer management, and securing locations for the battery swap stations.
Through this demonstration experiment, Honda and GoCimo will also begin to consider the possibility of a long-term partnership in the European market.
Honda has previously deployed battery sharing services in Japan, India, Indonesia and Thailand, and the start of the demonstration experiment in Sweden marks the fifth country.
Starting with this initiative with GoCimo, Honda will expand battery sharing services using Honda products, primarily for corporate users, in major European cities, with the aim of promoting the electrification of motorcycles and the spread of swappable batteries in Europe, supporting the electrification of mobility and contributing to the realization of a low-carbon society.

Comment from Hiroki Mihara, Executive Officer and General Manager of the Electric Business Division, Motorcycle and Power Products, Honda Motor Co., Ltd.
“Honda is promoting the global spread of electric motorcycles. By building a new business model for electric motorcycles in Europe through this battery sharing service demonstration experiment with GoCimo, we will commercialize this model and expand it throughout Europe, thereby accelerating the spread of electric motorcycles and the Honda Mobile Power Pack e:.”
GoCimo CEO Matthias Timvall said:
“GoCimo has previously successfully verified a business model for a battery sharing service for electric motorcycles in Europe. Many customers know that our battery sharing service supports the transition to electric motorcycles by lowering the investment barrier for corporate users, minimizing lost time due to charging, and improving safety during charging. We believe that this proof of concept with Honda will enable us to further explore the market potential of battery sharing services.”
