The ULTRA series, which has been popular as Honda’s genuine motorcycle oil since the 1950s, will be revamped under the Pro Honda brand this April. The instruction manual for the first-generation Super Cub C100, released in 1958, also clearly states that “Honda Ultra Oil” is the most suitable oil. Initially, only single-grade oil was available, but in the 1960s, multi-grade oils were added. It is also recommended as a designated oil for four-wheeled vehicles such as the T360 and S500, and the high-performance Ultra S and Ultra Super S oils are now on sale. The current lineup consists of six types for four-stroke engines: “ULTRA G1,” “ULTRA G2,” “ULTRA G3,” “ULTRA G4,” “ULTRA E1,” and “ULTRA S9,” and three types for two-stroke engines: “ULTRA 2 SUPER,” “ULTRA SUPER FINE,” and “ULTRA GR2.” The new lineup of genuine oils includes “Pro Honda STANDARD,” “Pro Honda SPORTS,” “Pro Honda PREMIUM SPORTS,” “Pro Honda RACING,” and “Pro Honda SCOOTER” for four-stroke engines, and “Pro Honda 2 SUPER,” “Pro Honda SUPER FINE,” and “Pro Honda GR2” for two-stroke engines. The “S9” oil, a high-performance oil for scooters, has been discontinued. In addition to engine oil, the lineup also includes two types of “CUSHION OIL” and “BRAKE FLUID” for use on front forks, etc., with a unified bottle design for easy identification. Sales will begin in April.
