Honda’s vision for the future of mobility

At the Japan Mobility Show 2025 (October 29th – November 9th), Honda will be showcasing a variety of mobility vehicles that offer a taste of the near future. One vehicle that has attracted particular attention is the UNI-ONE. This vehicle belongs to a new genre of “seated mobility” that does away with the traditional need for steering, allowing the driver to control the direction of travel simply by shifting their weight while remaining seated. Its operation method is distinct from that of typical electric scooters and electric motorcycles, combining intuitive balancing and smooth posture control to provide a more human-like mobility experience. The fact that Streamo, established through Honda’s new business creation program “IGNITION,” will be the vehicle’s sales representative also underscores Honda’s commitment to exploring the future of mobility.

The exhibit will feature a test drive format that allows visitors to actually ride in the UNI-ONE, giving them a firsthand feel for the operation of this near-future mobility vehicle. Additionally, a life-size replica of the mythical Pokémon Corydon from the video game “Pokémon Scarlet” will also be on display, showcasing the mobility itself as an art piece. The exhibit, which combines imagination and technology, offers a glimpse into the aim of evolving the future of mobility from something you can “see” to something you can “ride.”

The “Mobility Culture Program,” part of the Mobility Show, will showcase Honda’s motorcycles, showcasing their history and current status. The Dream CB750 FOUR-K, also known as the “750” model, will be on display, emanating from the 1970s as the model that laid the foundation for motorcycle culture. The Civic CVCC (1973), which once challenged global emissions regulations, will also be on display, creating a timeless collaboration between automobiles and motorcycles. Additionally, an outdoor program will feature a demonstration of the engine start-up of the Williams Honda FW11, the 1986 F1 Constructors’ Championship machine, creating a performance that transcends the boundaries between cars and motorcycles.

Among the practical vehicles on display will be the recently announced Super Cub 110 Lite and Dio 110 Lite. These models comply with the “new standard moped” regulations, which require a total displacement of over 50cc to 125cc and a maximum output of 4.0kW or less, and showcase the latest specifications that reflect their mobility design as urban transportation. Additionally, the new large road sports models CB1000F and CB1000F SE, announced on October 10th, will also be on display, showcasing the dynamism of current motorcycle models that pursue sporty performance and style. The motorcycle booth will contrast technological innovation with historical lineage, bringing the spirit of motorcycles that Honda has cultivated to the show floor.
