Honda Rebel 250…From 638,000 yen

Honda has made some changes to the specifications of its light motorcycle cruiser model, the Rebel 250, and released it on January 30, 2025. It also introduced the new Rebel 250 E-Clutch and Rebel 250 S Edition E-Clutch, equipped with Honda E-Clutch electronic control technology, and released them on March 13.

The manufacturer’s suggested retail prices are 638,000 yen for the Rebel 250, 693,000 yen for the Rebel 250 E-Clutch, and 731,500 yen (tax included) for the Rebel 250 S Edition E-Clutch.

E-Clutch specification finally on sale

In this specification change, firstly, the handlebar shape of all Reble250 models has been revised to optimize the riding position, and the material inside the seat has been changed to improve comfort.

Furthermore, the newly installed Honda E-Clutch is an electronic control technology that automatically performs optimal clutch control without the rider needing to operate the clutch lever when starting, shifting gears, or stopping, resulting in a smoother riding experience.

However, gear changes are still required using the shift pedal, and the rider can also control the clutch manually by operating the clutch lever.

Along with color changes, there are also plenty of genuine options available.

The color variations are as follows: the Rebel 250 is available in one color, “Matte Dim Gray Metallic,” the Rebel 250 E-Clutch in two colors, “Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic” and “Matte Fresco Brown,” and the Rebel 250 S Edition E-Clutch in two colors, “Pearl Shining Black” and “Pearl Cadet Gray.”

Genuine accessories include an ETC onboard unit and grip heaters, further improving convenience.

The main specifications are as follows: overall length 2,205mm, overall width 810mm, overall height 1,090mm, wheelbase 1,490mm, ground clearance 134mm, seat height 690mm, and vehicle weight: 171kg for the Rebel 250, 174kg for the Rebel 250 E-Clutch, and 175kg for the Rebel 250 S Edition E-Clutch.

The engine is a water-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC, 4-valve, single-cylinder with a total displacement of 249cc, a bore x stroke of 76.0 x 55.0mm, a compression ratio of 10.7, a maximum output of 19kW (26PS)/9,500rpm, and a maximum torque of 22Nm (2.2kgm)/6,500rpm.

The fuel supply system uses an electronically controlled fuel injection system (PGM-FI), and the fuel tank capacity is 11L. The clutch is a wet multi-plate coil spring type, and the transmission is a constant mesh 6-speed return. The tire sizes are 130/90-16M/C (67H) for the front wheel and 150/80-16M/C (71H) for the rear wheel, and both the front and rear are equipped with hydraulic disc brakes.

The fuel consumption rate is 47.0km/L (with two occupants) at a constant speed (60km/h), and 34.9km/L (with one occupant) in WMTC mode (Class 2-2).

The Rebel 250 series has gained popularity for its tough cruiser design and ease of handling, and there is no doubt that the latest specification changes and the inclusion of new technology have made it even more appealing.
