Special color expressing 50 years of tradition

Honda has announced the Gold Wing Tour 50th Anniversary special edition, a 2025 model of its flagship tourer, the Gold Wing Tour. It will go on sale on April 17, 2025. This model celebrates the half-century of evolution since the first model was released in 1975, and will be produced in limited quantities to order.
The “Gold Wing Tour 50th Anniversary” features a special Bordeaux Red Metallic color, a gold logo on the saddlebags, and a special 50th anniversary logo on the center console and smart key body, creating a special feel. The price is 3.85 million yen (tax included), and orders will be accepted for a limited time from April 11th to May 31st, 2025.
The planned domestic sales volume for the series is 450 units per year, and the 50th anniversary model will be part of that. The standard model “Gold Wing Tour” is colored in Digital Silver Metallic and is priced at 3.74 million yen (tax included).
It boasts impressive dimensions for a large tourer, with specifications of 2,615mm in length, 905mm in width, 1,430mm in height (1,555mm with the windscreen at its highest position), a 1,695mm wheelbase, 130mm in ground clearance, 745mm in seat height, and a vehicle weight of 391kg. The engine is a water-cooled, four-stroke, OHC (Unicam) four-valve horizontally opposed six-cylinder with a total displacement of 1,833cc. It produces a maximum output of 93kW (126PS) at 5,500rpm and a maximum torque of 170N・m (17.3kgf・m) at 4,500rpm. The transmission is an electronic seven-speed (DCT) that ensures a smooth ride.
Standard equipment to support comfortable touring includes an electric screen, rear trunk, saddlebags, heated grips, heated seats for the rider and passenger, and an audio system. The meter has a 7-inch full-color TFT LCD in the center, with an analog speedometer, tachometer, and three information displays on either side. It is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and navigation functions can also be used.
The fuel tank capacity is 21L, and the fuel consumption rate is 27.0km/L (60km/h, with two occupants) in constant speed and 14.9km/L (Class 3-2, with one occupant) in WMTC mode. It also complies with the 2020 exhaust gas regulations and is environmentally friendly.
Honda aims to further enhance its brand value and pursue customer satisfaction through this special edition vehicle, which symbolizes the 50-year history and evolution of the Gold Wing.


Royal Enfield to start domestic sales of new Scrambler “BEAR 650” from April 17th
Royal Enfield will begin domestic sales of the new Scrambler, the BEAR 650, on April 17, 2025. This model inherits the spirit of Eddie Mulder, the legendary rider who competed in the 1960s California desert race, “Big Bear Run,” and features a design and performance that embodies “instinct, impulse, and tenacity.” The BEAR 650 is equipped with a 650cc in-line twin-cylinder engine that produces 47.4 PS at 7,150 rpm and 56.5 Nm of torque at 5,150 rpm. Equipped with 130mm-travel Showa front forks, 115mm rear suspension, 184mm ground clearance, and 19-inch front and 17-inch rear dual-purpose tires, it delivers high performance both on and off-road. The design, with its thick tires with a retro feel, scrambler seat, 2-into-1 exhaust system, rear loop, and competition number board, strongly reflects the Scrambler’s DNA. It also comes equipped with a newly developed TFT display called “Tripper Dash,” which provides intuitive operability and visibility. The color lineup includes five colors: “Boardwalk White” (990,000 yen), “Petrol Green,” “Wild Honey,” and “Golden Shadow” (998,800 yen each), as well as the special edition “Two for Nine” (1,015,300 yen). It will be available at authorized Royal Enfield dealers nationwide.
Honda to unveil new hands-free personal mobility vehicle “UNI-ONE” at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Kansai


Honda will exhibit a new version of its hands-free personal mobility device, UNI-ONE, which can be operated by shifting one’s weight while remaining seated, at the Osaka-Kansai Expo, which will be held from April 13 to October 13, 2025, in Yumeshima, Osaka. This new model has been improved with improvements such as improved stability while driving and an increased gradient of up to 10 degrees, and its range has also been extended to 10km. At the Expo, the vehicle will be exhibited in the Robot Experience, and test drives will be available in the Future Life Village. Deliveries to companies and organizations are expected to begin in the fall of 2025.
Two new colors added

British motorcycle brand MUTT Motorcycles has begun selling the limited edition, custom-style DRK-01 250CC in new colors, “CANDY RED” and “WHITE SAND,” at authorized dealers nationwide from April 7, 2025, with a limited run of 30 units each. The bike is equipped with a newly developed DOHC water-cooled engine and a 6-speed manual transmission, with a 320mm diameter disc and 4-piston hydraulic brake at the front. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price (including tax) is 849,200 yen.



“PONY2,” an electric bike that lets you ride with your dog, goes on sale through crowdfunding

Good Shape LLC has announced the PONY2, an electric moped that can be ridden with your beloved dog, and will begin pre-sales on April 19, 2025, on the crowdfunding site CAMPFIRE. The PONY2 features a front-wheel drive switch, allowing for stable driving even on steep slopes. With a maximum load capacity of 100 kg, it can carry two dogs or a large amount of luggage. The battery is a 48V 15Ah lithium-ion battery, allowing for a range of approximately 40 km on a single charge. Electricity costs are economical at approximately 22 yen, making it approximately 1/8 the cost of a gasoline-powered vehicle. The first 40 units are priced at 140,600 yen, a 5% discount. It is available in two colors: salmon pink and black.







Top 10 bikes expected to be expensive in 2025 announced

Bike Passion, a website specializing in buying and selling motorcycles, has announced its top 10 2025 model motorcycles that are expected to fetch high prices. Coming in at number one is the BMW R1300GS Adventure, with a maximum purchase price of 3.67 million yen and an average purchase price of 3.27 million yen, exceeding the price of a new car. Coming in second is the Triumph Rocket 3 Storm R, with a maximum purchase price of 2.91 million yen and an average purchase price of 2.8 million yen. Coming in third is the Triumph Rocket 3 Storm GT, with a maximum purchase price of 2.69 million yen and an average purchase price of 2.6 million yen. This ranking was calculated based on transaction values at dealer-to-dealer auctions as of the end of March 2025, and is subject to change depending on future market trends.


Vietnam’s Capichi and GSM partner for sustainable food delivery using electric bikes

Vietnamese food delivery company Capichi and Green and Smart Mobility (GSM), an electric mobility service provider, have entered into a business partnership to promote sustainable food delivery using electric motorbikes. Capichi provides a high-end food delivery app and restaurant reservation platform, while GSM operates Xanh SM, a delivery network using electric motorbikes manufactured by VinFast. This partnership will integrate Capichi’s ordering system with GSM’s delivery network, creating a system in which the nearest electric motorbike will automatically deliver the order after it has been confirmed. This is expected to improve delivery efficiency and reduce environmental impact.


Triumph launches 400cc model test ride campaign “FEEL THE TRIUMPH 400”

Triumph Motorcycles Japan will be running a test ride campaign called “FEEL THE TRIUMPH 400” for the 400cc models “SPEED 400” and “SCRAMBLER 400 X” at authorized dealers nationwide from April 11th to May 30th, 2025. During the campaign period, anyone who books a test ride and test rides the eligible models will receive a “TRIUMPH original sticker.” In addition, there will be a second chance for test riders to win luxury items through a lottery. MUTT Motorcycles launches campaign to help cover the cost of obtaining a motorcycle licence

PCI Corporation, the official Japanese distributor of MUTT Motorcycles, is running a campaign to support the license acquisition costs of 33,000 yen (tax included) for customers who purchase a new motorcycle between April 1st and December 31st, 2025, and obtain a standard motorcycle small-sized limited license (MT) or a standard motorcycle license (MT) between April 1st of the same year and February 28th, 2026. This campaign can be combined with other campaigns and is applicable to all new MUTT Motorcycles models.

MUTT Motorcycles launches “Riding Campaign” offering coupons worth up to 110,000 yen

PCI Corporation, the official distributor of MUTT Motorcycles in Japan, will be holding a “Riding Campaign” from April 1st to September 30th, 2025. During this campaign, customers who purchase a new MUTT Motorcycles and complete the registration process will receive a coupon worth up to 110,000 yen (tax included). The coupon can be used when purchasing a vehicle at an official MUTT Motorcycles dealer, and can also be used in conjunction with other campaigns.

Kawasaki to hold “KAZE Let’s Ride Off-Road” off-road experience event for beginners on May 10th

Kawasaki Motors Japan will be holding “KAZE Let’s Ride Off-Road,” a forest road experience event open to beginners, at Motegi Mobility Resort in Tochigi Prefecture on Saturday, May 10, 2025. At this event, participants with a small motorcycle license or higher can experience off-road driving using rental vehicles and equipment. The participation fee is 12,100 yen for KAZE members and 16,500 yen (tax included) for the general public, including rental fees. In addition, participants will be able to test ride the “KLX230 SHERPA” and “KLX230 S” exclusively. The 14th Spring Bike Festival in Meidoora will be held in Meidohama, Fukuoka City

The 14th Spring Bike Festival in Meido-dora will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 (national holiday) at Meidohama Driving School in Nishi-ku, Fukuoka City. The event is expected to attract around 500 people and is designed to be enjoyed by families. The event will include test rides and displays of the latest motorcycles, demonstration rides by police motorcycle officers, and safety classes. There will also be an electric cart driving experience for children, a bicycle simulator, and food trucks, providing a program that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. The venue has parking for 60 cars, making it easily accessible. Admission is free, and the event will run from 10:00 to 15:00. It’s a perfect event for motorcycle enthusiasts as well as families looking for leisure time.








Rental 819 to open six new stores in the Kanto area

Rental819, a nationwide motorcycle rental service, will open a total of six new stores on April 10th and 11th, 2025: four in Saitama Prefecture, one in Chiba Prefecture, and one in Kanagawa Prefecture. These stores will be located within Bikekan (formerly SOX), a chain store that buys and sells used and new motorcycles nationwide. The newly opened stores are as follows:
