On May 12, 2025, Hasegawa Mobility will release the YADEA S-01T, a small motorized bicycle, in the Japanese market. The price is 220,000 yen including tax, and it will be sold at the YADEA Omotesando showroom, official EC site, electronics retailers, etc.

This model features a classic and clean design that blends naturally into urban streetscapes. The white-based body color matches a variety of everyday scenes and is ideal as a means of transportation for commuting, shopping, and more.
It is also used as the base model for Docomo Bike Share, and the bike’s frame design and ride comfort are both carefully considered. The aluminum alloy frame is lightweight yet durable, and the overall weight of 28.6 kg makes it easy to handle. The combination of 20-inch tires and front suspension ensures stable riding performance.
Performance and functionality ideal for everyday use
The S-01T is equipped with a 48V 14Ah battery, giving it a maximum range of 70km. Charging takes approximately six hours, and the removable battery makes it easy to charge at home. The motor’s rated output is 350W, and the maximum speed is set to 20km/h, meeting the standards for specific small motorized bicycles.
In terms of safety, drum brakes are used on both the front and rear to provide reliable braking power. High-intensity LED lights and brake lights are also installed to improve visibility and safety at night. An LCD monitor is also located on the handlebars, allowing you to check information such as speed and remaining battery level at a glance.

The S-01T complies with the legal regulations for specified small motorized bicycles, and anyone aged 16 or older can drive it without a license. However, they must obtain a license plate and take out compulsory automobile liability insurance, and wearing a helmet is a voluntary obligation. A maximum speed indicator is also mandatory, and meeting these requirements ensures safe and legal use.
