The evolved V4 Rally bike pursues even greater adventure performance

The Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally is a flagship adventure bike redefined with a focus on long-distance riding and exploring uncharted territory. The 2026 model features a large 30-liter fuel tank and the long-stroke Adaptive DSS EVO electronically controlled suspension. Maintaining ideal posture and comfort on both road and off, it boasts versatility to handle any terrain. The 170-horsepower V4 Gran Turismo engine employs a counter-rotating crankshaft derived from MotoGP, delivering linear and torqueful response across the entire rev range. Furthermore, a suite of electronic controls has been added to enhance safety and convenience, including a newly developed vehicle height lowering function and a forward collision warning system.

This rally spec is not just a derivative model, but a vehicle that embodies the philosophy of the Multistrada series, “riding comfortably on any road,” to the utmost. It combines the comfort of grand touring with high-level controllability on off-road terrain, making it a bike that embodies Ducati’s adventurous spirit.

Innovative driving control with Adaptive DSS EVO and DVO

The biggest evolution of the 2026 model is the new control algorithm of the Ducati Skyhook Suspension EVO (DSS EVO). The system analyzes road conditions, load, and riding style while riding and instantly optimizes damping force, further improving both comfort and stability. Furthermore, the newly installed “Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO)” applies control logic derived from MotoGP. It uses 70 virtual sensor inputs to estimate vehicle behavior with high precision and optimize the operation of ABS and wheelie control.

The electronically controlled brake system has also been revamped, and now features a “rear-to-front” interlocking function that controls the front brake when the rear brake is operated. When used in conjunction with the conventional “front-to-rear” system, it reduces posture changes even when riding with a passenger, providing stable braking performance. These advanced controls remain faithful to the rider’s intentions and provide consistent control even under extreme conditions.

Touring specifications that maximize comfort and functionality

The Multistrada V4 Rally is the ultimate tourer designed for two-person trips. The large windshield, which is 40mm wider and 20mm taller, improves wind protection, and the passenger footpegs and seat position have also been optimized. A center stand and five-level adjustable grip heaters are standard equipment, improving loading capacity and convenience.

The newly designed 6.5-inch TFT meter offers excellent visibility, and the smartphone connectivity function “Ducati Connect” allows for intuitive navigation and music operation. Furthermore, LED headlights with a “Coming Home” function and rear fog lamps dramatically improve safety when riding at night. The “Auto Lowdown” function, which automatically lowers the vehicle height when stopped, makes it easier to reach the ground, realizing safe handling in both urban and unpaved roads.

Engines, trim and new ways to travel

The V4 Gran Turismo engine is 1,158cc, delivering a maximum output of 170hp and a maximum torque of 121Nm. It features a rear cylinder deactivation mechanism, achieving both fuel economy and comfort. The newly developed DQS 2.0 quickshifter provides a shorter stroke and a more direct feel. The aluminum monocoque frame and lightweight spoke wheels achieve both weight balance and durability. A newly designed swingarm with improved anti-squat effect for the suspension and a large 280mm rear disc support braking performance.

There are three trim configurations: the radar-equipped “Radar,” the “Adventure Travel & Radar” with aluminum panniers and heated seats, and the “Full Adventure” with an Akrapovic muffler and carbon fenders. It will be available in two colors: Jade Green with gold wheels and Ducati Red with black wheels. It is scheduled to be released in Europe in November 2025 and in Japan in spring 2026.

The Multistrada V4 Rally is an adventure machine that maximizes the freedom of long-distance riding, based on the sporting DNA that Ducati has cultivated. It will become a symbol of a new journey that embodies true riding pleasure and the exploration of the unknown, away from the paved roads.
