A new cultural spot is born in Harajuku

On April 24, 2025, Deus Ex Machina, a lifestyle brand from Sydney, Australia, soft-opened its new flagship store in Harajuku, Tokyo. Located on the first and second floors of BPR Square Jingumae 1 in Jingumae 2-chome, the store is designed as a space where diverse cultures intersect, including bikes, surfing, music, art, and coffee. The official grand opening is scheduled for mid-May, and the store will be operating as a soft opening until then.
A two-floor store combining a cafe and apparel

The store is spread across two floors, with the first floor featuring a cafe called “Deus Cafe Tokyo,” which serves espresso, sandwiches, and other light meals. The barista-brewed coffee is available with options that are rare in the neighborhood, such as almond milk and salted caramel syrup. The second floor is the apparel floor, where Deus’ latest collections and limited edition items are lined up. Custom bikes and art pieces are also on display in the store, allowing visitors to experience the brand’s worldview.
A free space for the community to gather

Deus Harajuku is not just a cafe or apparel shop, but aims to be a comfortable place for everyone, where you can enjoy a coffee on the terrace while basking in the sunshine, do some shopping, etc. It starts with just dropping in for a quick visit, and before you know it, you’ll find yourself feeling comfortable and connected to someone. This is the kind of free space that has been born in Harajuku.
Opening hours and access information

Deus Ex Machina Harajuku’s opening hours are from 11am to 6pm on the day of its soft opening on Thursday, April 24th. From Friday, April 25th onwards, the cafe on the first floor will be open from 10am to 7pm, and the apparel floor on the second floor will be open from 11am to 7pm.
