OGK Kabuto will release a new pattern, "PLUME," for its open-face helmet "EXCEED-2." The price is 44,000 yen (including consumption tax). It will be released in mid-July 2025.
Multi-colored peacock in motion
The “EXCEED-2” is the latest model based on the open-face “EXCEED” with a lightweight inner sunshade, with improved aerodynamic performance. The newly developed “SAJ-3” shield has an aerodynamic shape that efficiently distributes wind to the left and right while riding. It is designed to reduce wind entrainment. It is an open-face model that adjusts to a wide range of vehicle models, equipped with new features such as a new, enveloping, comfortable fit interior and larger speaker holes. It is the top-of-the-line open-face model in the OGK Kabuto lineup.
The newly added color, “PLUME,” combines a special multi-color that changes color depending on the angle you look at it from with a mysterious graphic featuring a peacock motif. The delicate and elegant feathers on the side of the cap and its deep color accentuate the aerodynamic body. Its appearance, which combines mystery and elegance, harmonizes with the sporty and sophisticated form of the EXCEED-2, giving PLUME a unique presence. It is suitable for use in high-speed commuting scenes, as well as mid-size tourers and adventure models with a road-oriented style.

An easy-to-use open face that combines comfort and safety
In addition to the basic performance of a helmet, “safety,” the open-face “EXCEED-2” is packed with comfort features, such as further weight reduction and aerodynamic performance, various functions that make touring more comfortable, and excellent usability that makes urban riding such as commuting and riding in the city where there is a lot of taking off and putting on the helmet more comfortable. It is the top-of-the-line open-face model among OGK Kabuto’s models.
Utilizing FEM (Finite Element Method) analysis, unnecessary excess material has been eliminated, and the helmet body has been made lighter while still ensuring safety. It is equipped with OGK Kabuto’s patented system, the Wake Stabilizer (PAT. No. 4311691), which controls the airflow around the helmet body and reduces the load. Impact-absorbing liners are also placed inside the cheek pads, achieving a higher level of safety.
The newly designed “Aero Shield” shield, which achieves high quietness, disperses wind to the left and right while riding and reduces wind getting in around the mouth. By pursuing aerodynamics not only for the helmet itself but also for the shape of the shield, comfort while riding has been improved.
The helmet also comes standard with a UV & IR Cut Shield made from high-performance polycarbonate material from Teijin Ltd. It protects the rider from harmful ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) rays and reduces heat conduction to the inside of the helmet.
The interior is made of fabric with DEOFACTOR® antibacterial treatment. In addition to its pleasant feel, the increased padding area provides a comfortable, enveloping fit. The speaker holes have been enlarged from the previous model. Furthermore, a new cable route has been installed, allowing for smart wiring.
With large ventilation at the front and rear, and a specially designed large inner sunshade that is effective in situations with strong glare or sunlight, the bike is more than comfortable not only for everyday use but also when touring.

・Moderately soft sponge and slim cheek pads that overlap the chin strap provide a comfortable fit and stress-free donning and doffing.
The fully removable and washable interior is made of COOLMAX® fabric for superior moisture management.
It features Kabuto’s proprietary micro-ratchet buckles for secure attachment and removal, allowing for fine adjustments.
The newly sewn cheek pads are compatible with glasses, allowing for smoother fitting of glasses or sunglasses.
A large, custom-designed inner sunshade provides wide coverage as standard.
The newly designed SAJ-2 shield features ribs that efficiently distribute wind to both sides, reducing wind penetration to the face.
The SAJ Shield System PAT. (PAT. No. 4839373) shield replacement system is also included.
A wide-type 100% MAX VISION pinlock sheet (sold separately) can be installed to reduce fogging. The
newly shaped trim rubber eliminates the space between the shield and the helmet that can cause wind noise, achieving exceptional quietness.
The Kabuto patented Wake Stabilizer PAT. (PAT. No. 4311691) system reduces loads and features an integrated rear ventilation system.
– Head ventilation with a large shutter allows more wind to enter the inside of the helmet.
