The V4 concept engine unveiled by CF MOTO has generated a lot of buzz. CF MOTO has formed a joint venture with KTM, undertaking sales of the KTM brand in China while also operating a factory in China to manufacture both companies’ vehicles. They share knowledge and technology in motorcycle development, including engines, and are developing new vehicles. In fact, the in-line twin-cylinder engines for KTM and Husqvarna are manufactured by CF MOTO, and for some models, CF MOTO is also responsible for body assembly. It’s no surprise that a 1000cc V4 engine built by such a brand has generated a lot of buzz.

↑ A 1000cc 90-degree V4 engine with a counter-rotating crankshaft (reverse-rotating crankshaft) is used. The engine alone weighs 61.5kg, produces 154kW @ 14,500rpm, and 114Nm @ 12,500rpm.

↑CF MOTO’s concept engine, named “V.04”.

KOVE, which is gaining a strong presence in the Supersport 300 World Championship and rallies such as the Dakar Rally, also exhibited a wide variety of individual engines that are used in its production vehicles. While its small-displacement sports models and highly competitive rally homologation models are equipped with high-performance single-cylinder engines, the brand is also developing in-line twin-cylinder engines for large adventure models, as well as in-line four-cylinder engines for mid-displacement supersports and streetfighters that share the same platform.

↑KOVE’s engine lineup. A 449.9cc single-cylinder DOCH engine that produces a maximum output of 44.7kw/9500rpm and a maximum torque of 50Nm/7500rpm. A 442.9cc in-line four-cylinder DOCH engine that produces a maximum output of 52kw/13000rpm and a maximum torque of 39Nm/9000rpm. A 344cc in-line two-cylinder DOCH engine that produces a maximum output of 32kw/11000rpm and a maximum torque of 32Nm/9000rpm was exhibited.

Loncine has separated the VOGE model group into a European brand, offering a wide range of models from adventure to super sports. Loncine also has a long history of developing and manufacturing engines for BMW Motorrad’s in-line twin-cylinder engine series/F series.

↑An in-line four-cylinder engine named KEN460. Loncine has already released the super sports model “RS660S” equipped with a 662.8cc in-line four-cylinder engine named KEN660. It is thought that the reduced displacement KEN460 engine will be installed in new vehicles aimed at the Indian and Southeast Asian markets.

↑The parallel twin-cylinder engine is named KEL800. Loncine has a long history of developing and manufacturing BMW F-series engines, so it’s easy to imagine that the know-how gained there has been poured into this engine.
