[Breaking News] Yamaha releases new Cygnus in Taiwan | New frame and 155cc version included!

Yamaha announced the 2025 model “CYGNUS” series in Taiwan on September 4th. With the introduction of two new models, “CYGNUS XR” (155cc) and “CYGNUS X” (125cc), this long-selling scooter model that has been around for 20 years is being reborn as a new generation.

The new Cygnus has been completely evolved based on the concept of “riding as you wish.” The newly designed, high-rigidity frame and optimized CVT system have significantly improved starting response and mid- to low-speed acceleration. Combined with 267mm enlarged disc brakes, it provides a comfortable ride in a wide range of situations, from urban commuting to touring.

In terms of practicality, the 28L trunk is large enough to fully store an XL helmet. It comes standard with an LCD meter and a QC 3.0 Type-C quick charging function suitable for charging smartphones, making it convenient for everyday use. The higher-end model, the CYGNUS XR, is equipped with a dedicated reservoir tank suspension, variable color temperature headlights, and a smartphone unlocking function, offering a premium ride.

Prices start from 94,500 Taiwanese dollars (approximately 460,000 yen*).
