The combination of MSC and ABSi increases safety, convenience, and fun!

Bosch announced its Motorcycle Stability Control (MSC) for small bikes at EICMA 2023. The company also announced ABSi at EICMA 2023 as the next step in promoting the adoption of MSC.

This new Bosch system is a unique ABS (anti-lock braking system) that integrates an inertial measurement unit. The combination of MSC and ABSi eliminates the need for an external measurement unit and reduces complexity by reducing the required wiring harness. Specific features of the new ABSi are as follows:

Bosch over-the-air updates and on-demand functionality

Over-the-air updates and on-demand functions are becoming standard in the automotive sector, and as of 2024 they are also becoming commonplace in motorcycles. Bosch continues to develop and provide solutions in this sector that combine technological advances with the enjoyment of riding.

Thanks to software solutions developed by Bosch, riders can install new functions even after purchasing their vehicle: special and advanced riding modes for use on the track or off-road, as well as convenient functions for long-distance riding, all on demand.

The above can be easily done from the rider’s smartphone, and new features and updates are downloaded from the vehicle manufacturer’s app and then applied to the bike.

To smoothly integrate connected functions and the user experience, it is essential that the human-machine interface is well-configured and easy to operate. Bosch offers a range of TFT displays, from 5 to 10.25 inches, that are easy to handle and offer excellent readability even in direct sunlight.
