New model announced in Europe

On July 3, 2025, BMW Motorrad announced the new BMW CE 04 in Europe, a model that will lead the urban electric mobility market. Since the first model was released in the summer of 2021, this model has gained overwhelming support in the market for electric motorcycles over 11 kW, and it still reigns as the market leader, but with this latest improvement, it has evolved even further.
New color variations and special equipment

The new CE04 is available in three grades: Basic, Avantgarde, and Exclusive. Basic is available in a single light white finish, Avantgarde features a dynamic design with a Gravity Blue Metallic body and Sao Paulo Yellow accents, and Exclusive features a luxurious Space Silver Metallic finish and a full range of equipment, including heated comfort seats and a large windshield. Additionally, all models are available with weather protection options such as a large windshield, heated seats, and heated grips as custom options.
Performance remains the same, but the enhanced equipment further enhances refinement

In terms of specifications, it is equipped with a 31 kW (42 hp) electric motor, boasts 0-50 km/h acceleration of 2.6 seconds, and a top speed of 120 km/h. The battery is a 60.6 Ah (8.9 kWh) lithium-ion, achieving a range of approximately 130 km in standard specification (100 km for the output-limited model). Charging takes approximately 4 hours and 20 minutes with a 2.3 kW household charger, and 1 hour and 40 minutes for a full charge using an optional 6.9 kW quick charger, and 45 minutes for a 20% to 80% charge.
The chassis is made of a tubular steel main frame, a 35 mm telescopic fork at the front, and a single rear shock absorber (). The brakes are equipped with ABS front and rear, and an optional “Banking-compatible ABS Pro” is also available. Furthermore, ASC traction control is standard, with Rain, Eco, and Road modes, and a Dynamic mode is also available as an option.
No compromise on advanced connectivity and details

It comes standard with a 10.25-inch TFT color screen and can be connected to a navigation system or smartphone. The headlights, brake lights, and turn signals are LED, and it can also be equipped with Adaptive Headlight Pro. While inheriting the design philosophy that has traditionally balanced the “convenience and sensibility” of urban electric scooters, it has been refined to be more stylish and functional.
BMW Motorrad also announced a revision of the specifications of its entire vehicle line-up for the 2026 model year. The CE04 is expected to be included in this revision, with features such as an electric unlocking mechanism for navigation systems being added.
Embodying the future of urban electric mobility

The CE 04 is at the forefront of the BMW Group’s electric strategy, “urban two-wheel mobility.” It combines the latest technology, high convenience, and sophisticated design to make “movement itself enjoyable.” While prices and release dates will vary by country and region, it is scheduled to be rolled out to BMW Motorrad dealers around the world from summer 2025.
The biggest point of this improvement is that an already complete platform has been updated with “detailed evolution.” For riders who cannot compromise on “motorsports-like performance,” “advanced technology,” or “design” when choosing an electric bike, the CE 04 is worthy of attention as a unique choice.
The new BMW CE04 is a model that embodies the ideal electric scooter for urban mobility at a high level. High-quality features such as all-weather equipment, fast charging, traction control, and a range of sophisticated colors make it both easy to use and emotionally appealing for everyday use. For urban riders looking to choose an electric two-wheeler, the CE04 will not just be a means of transportation, but will enrich their lifestyle.
