The R 20 Concept, which exudes a premium appearance, is a highly unique model that symbolizes BMW Motorrad’s vision for a roadster model.

The core of the car’s artistic and unique appearance is undoubtedly its big boxer engine with a horizontally opposed two-cylinder engine. The striking silhouette, from the short, handmade seat to the aggressive rear section, stirs emotions at first sight. The sculptural fuel tank, combined with the passionate pink coloring, creates a seductive atmosphere.

The R 20 Concept is fitted with a newly designed double cradle frame and an air-oil cooled, four-stroke, horizontally opposed, two-cylinder OHV 1,801cc engine (displacement increased to 2,000cc). The swingarm is a custom BMW Paralever, which suppresses the behavior typical of shaft drives. Two parallel arms support the rear axle, with the upper arm made of aluminum and the lower arm made of steel, creating a unique structure.

Concept F 450 GS

A mid-range model in the GS series equipped with a parallel twin-cylinder 450cc engine

The Concept F 450 GS is a mid-range model between the youngest model in the GS series, the G310GS, and its older brother, the F800GS. The key point is that it can be ridden with an A2 license in Europe.

The engine is not a single cylinder, but a newly developed water-cooled, four-stroke, parallel twin-cylinder 450cc engine, which produces a maximum output of 48ps, the highest in the A2 class.

The frame that houses the twin-cylinder engine has also been newly designed. The suspension utilizes technology from rally and enduro sports, and features a fully adjustable inverted front fork with a wide range of adjustment, and a rear shock absorber that can handle a wide range of situations with its load-dependent damping function. The front brake calipers are made by Brembo, and the rear by Vibra. The spoke-type front and rear wheels are set to different diameters: 19 inches in the front and 17 inches in the rear.

The use of lightweight materials such as magnesium and a compact engine have also helped reduce the vehicle weight to approximately 175 kg. A commercial vehicle based on this concept model is scheduled for release in 2025. The mass-produced version is also being considered for use with lightweight forged aluminum wheels instead of the 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels.
