The ASTRO-GX is a full-face helmet that combines Arai Helmets’ renowned safety with ease of use and comfort for touring. Compared to the company’s top-end full-face models, it features a larger opening, improving convenience for long tours where you often have to take the helmet off. Furthermore, it is equipped with air inlets and a spoiler that prioritize wind guidance at touring speeds, pursuing comfort for everyday use.
The newly added “BEYOND” graphic is a classic and highly versatile graphic that expresses the characteristics of the Astro GX, which can be used in any scene, from city riding to the circuit. The sporty and edgy image that matches any era and any machine symbolizes “Beyond the Time,” as the name suggests. In addition, the lines that express the joy of riding a bike that cuts sharply through the wind also use a chic color base to create a sophisticated, adult atmosphere. It is versatile enough to look good on any type of road model, but it seems to be a perfect match for large, full-cowl tourers in particular.

An all-rounder that can handle any riding style
The Astro GX is a full-face model equipped with the latest features to make touring more comfortable while maintaining the highest level of safety. While adhering to Arai’s philosophy of protection performance, the helmet body has been redesigned to make it easy to put on and take off like a jet helmet.
In response to complaints that the opening was too narrow and difficult to put on and take off, the hat body has been widened by 5mm in the front and 5mm on each side, mainly around the mouth, compared to the previous model, making it easier to put on and take off. While the opening has been widened, Arai’s unique excellent fit is still maintained. This model allows you to wear it for long periods of time without having to worry about frequent putting on and taking off, such as when touring, and is less tiring to wear.
The helmet body uses Arai’s unique smooth form and strong helmet body “PB-cLc2”. In order to further improve impact resistance, the shield mounting part has been lowered by 24 mm based on the proven Snell standard test line, giving the helmet a smoother shape for the side of the head.
The shell of the hat is made of a special glass fiber that has a higher fiber density than regular glass fiber and is 40% stronger in both tensile strength and compressive strength, making for a strong and resilient hat body.
The hyper rib that wraps around the bottom of the cap acts as a shock absorber like a car bumper, improving pressure resistance from the sides.The side also has a flat surface to make it easy to mount an intercom, which is essential for touring.
Arai’s first frontal ventilation system has a unique design with a vent located under the Arai logo. It allows for efficient intake of riding wind even when in touring position. Combined with the G-flow duct and mouth shutter on the top of the head, it provides efficient ventilation. Also, the wide opening on the cap body makes it less likely for the rider to get stuffy.
The spoiler is based on the RX-7X racing spoiler, but has been redesigned for touring use. It provides improved head stability and aerodynamics at high speeds, suppresses turbulence behind the head, and also contributes to reducing fatigue. It also doubles as an air outlet duct, using negative pressure to remove hot air from the head.
The interior is made of Eco Pure, a functional fiber that maintains the same weak acidity as bare skin and has antibacterial, deodorizing, and stain-resistant properties. The improved fit of the system interior, which has a completely redesigned frame, is also not to be missed.
