SHOEI’s Z series, which combines compactness and light weight with comfort, is one of the representative models in the SHOEI full-face helmet lineup, following SHOEI’s flagship full-face helmet “X-Fifteen” and the premium touring model “GT-Air” series. Compared to the “X-Fifteen” and “GT-Air,” it has a relatively simple helmet design but is packed with the latest technology, giving it functionality and appearance that suits any machine, as well as high cost performance.
The latest model, the “Z-8,” features an easy-to-use shield system, a highly efficient ventilation system, and the latest quiet design, achieving even greater comfort.
The newly added pattern “YAGYO” is, as its name suggests, based on the traditional Japanese image of monsters, “Yagyo” (Night Parade of One Hundred Demons). The graphics of various monsters dancing are entertaining to the viewer, but SHOEI is also unique in that it does not forget to create a sporty look with a checkered flag-like background. It would look great on street machines such as scramblers, trackers and supermotos.

The Z series continues to evolve with a focus on compactness and lightness. Each component has been made lighter, achieving the ultimate in lightweight sports full-face helmets. It has become a benchmark for compact and lightweight models in the SHOEI lineup.
While retaining the distinctive cut lines of the shell side, the helmet body features a shape that has been improved through wind tunnel testing for aerodynamic performance. Compared to the previous model, drag (rearward pulling force) has been reduced by 5.5% and lift (lift force) by 3%. It also features deeper ventilation. One more air intake hole has been added compared to the previous model, and upper air intakes have been added on both sides for improved ventilation.
The shield uses the CWR-F2 shield, which features thicknesses tailored to individual sections to ensure excellent visibility. The shield lock system, located in the center, reduces deflection during opening and closing, improving operability and enhancing the seal between the shield and the window rubber.
Additionally, a PINLOCK® EVO lens is included as standard to prevent the shield from fogging. Comfort and excellent visibility are ensured. The shield fine-tuning mechanism allows you to fine-tune the fit of the shield by about 1mm on both sides by moving the lever to the adjustment position.
It also has a full range of noise-canceling features to create a comfortable ride. It features a “vortex generator” shaped to suppress wind turbulence near the ears, reducing wind noise. Furthermore, the cheek pads and impact-absorbing liner on the shell side are shaped to fit snugly around the neck, preventing wind from entering through the opening.
