SHOEI’s Z series, which combines compactness and light weight with comfort, is one of the representative models in the SHOEI full-face helmet lineup, following SHOEI’s flagship full-face helmet “X-Fifteen” and the premium touring model “GT-Air” series. The newly added color “MS-06S Char’s Zaku II” is a graphic model created in collaboration with “Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN” (OVA version). “Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN” is an animated version of the manga “Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN,” which has sold over 10 million copies and was created by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, the character designer and animation director of “Mobile Suit Gundam,” which was broadcast on TV in 1979. The story centers
around Char Aznable, an ace pilot of the Principality of Zeon who would later be known as the “Red Comet,” and his sister, Sayla Mass. The six episodes depict the story of two siblings whose lives are shaken by the sudden death of their father, Zeon Deikun, the leader of the spacenoids. The story also covers the past before the One Year War, including the Zabi family, who hold real power in Side 3 and lead the Principality of Zeon, the brave young figures of many of Zeon’s famous ace pilots who fought in the One Year War, the secret story of mobile suit development, friction with the Earth Federation Forces, and the path to war.
The graphic is based on Char’s Zaku model, a mobile suit (large robot) that appears in the film. Based on Char’s personal color, red, it features the insignia of the Principality of Zeon and the model code of the mobile suit. As it is a vivid color that always catches the eye while riding, the image of the graphic would suit large-displacement super naked bikes with designs that match the vividness, as well as super sports bikes with winglets.

The Z series continues to evolve based on the concept of being light and small. By reducing the weight of each component, the Z series has pursued the ultimate in lightweight sports full-face helmets. It has become a benchmark for compact and lightweight models in the SHOEI lineup.
The cap body retains the distinctive cut line of the shell side, but adopts a shape that has been improved through wind tunnel testing to improve aerodynamic performance. Compared to the previous model, drag (pulling force toward the rear) has been improved by -5.5% and lift (lifting force) by -3%. It also features a deeper ventilation function. One more air intake hole has been added compared to the previous model, and upper air intakes have been installed on both sides to improve ventilation performance.
The shield uses the CWR-F2 shield, which has different thicknesses in different parts to ensure good visibility. The shield lock system is installed in the center to reduce deflection during opening and closing operations, improving operability and increasing the adhesion between the shield and the window rubber.
In addition, the PINLOCK® EVO lens is standard equipment to prevent the shield from fogging, ensuring comfort and good visibility. The shield fine adjustment mechanism allows you to fine-tune the fit of the shield by about 1mm on both sides by moving the lever to the adjustment position.
It also features a variety of noise-canceling features to ensure a comfortable ride. It features a “vortex generator” designed to suppress wind turbulence near the ears, reducing wind noise. Furthermore, the cheek pads and shock-absorbing liner on the shell side are designed to fit snugly around the neck, preventing wind from entering through the opening.
