KOYORAD is a prestigious manufacturer that offers a wide range of high-performance heat exchange systems for automobiles and motorcycles, including radiators and oil coolers. The modified Kawasaki ZRX1200R exhibited at the company’s booth is a complete RCM series machine built by motorcycle customization expert SANCTUARY.
“RCM (Radical Construction Manufacture)” is a fully custom-made complete machine production system that Sanctuary started in 2000.
RCM primarily accepts applications for Japanese on-road sports models. So far, they have revived “treasured big bikes” such as the Kawasaki air-cooled Z series, various Kawasaki Ninjas, Kawasaki Zephyr, Suzuki Katana, and Honda CB-F as modern versions.
The key point of RCM is that it sets itself apart from vehicles that simply have parts replaced. For example, the key frame is reinforced after being modified. Special processing is also carried out to match the chassis dimensions. The engine is fully overhauled down to the smallest detail before being installed. The suspension is finished with high precision and uses current high-spec parts. All sections, including the electrical system, intake and exhaust system, position system, and body parts, are manufactured using a process that does not allow for compromise.
After the vehicle is completed, it is subjected to a 200-300km road test drive, and any issues that are common with custom vintage cars are thoroughly troubleshooted before delivery.
The modified Kawasaki ZRX1200R pictured here is RCM’s 528th bike, with serial number RCM-528. The engine has been completely overhauled and fitted with high-compression ZZR1200 stock pistons for increased compression. The transmission has been upgraded from a 5-speed to a 6-speed. The engine’s cast iron parts have been painted with Guncote. The carburetor used is a Yoshimura Mikuni TMR-MJNΦ38.
The front and rear wheels are 17-inch O.Z Racing wheels (wheel diameter is the same as the standard size), the front forks are inverted Ohlins type, the swing arm is a wide one with a SCULPTURE stabilizer, and the front and rear brake calipers are made by Brembo.
To achieve the ideal fit for the Leopard single seat, the seat rails have been modified, the seat bottom has been remade from FRP, and the mounting bracket has been custom-made and the angle has been readjusted. Not only has the ride been tuned to perfection, but the appearance has also been perfected.
