Around 1967, BELL released the world’s first full-face helmet for on-road use, the “STAR.” Although its radically innovative style was initially unpopular, the high level of safety offered by the full-face style, which provided solid head protection, was soon recognized in the racing industry, and it quickly spread to the market.
The “120” model was then released, which improved the narrow field of view, followed by the “STAR II” in 1976. The model pictured is based on the original STAR II, but the shape of the eyeport (the part of the field of view) has been revised to comply with SG standards and remade using current technology. It faithfully reproduces the original down to the smallest details, such as the FRP shell and genuine leather liner around the mouth.

① Unique shell shape (made of FRP )
Not only does it retain the original structure, but it also faithfully reproduces the distinctive BELL forehead bulge. The traditional jet helmet shape is still used in the current BELL series.
②We are particular about rubber moldings
Just like the original, a 10mm wide rubber molding is used for the eye port and a 19mm wide rubber molding is used for the underside of the shell. The mold has not been polished, and even the lines created when the head is removed from the mold are reproduced exactly as they were on the original.
③Shield /Original Pivot
The shield is made of heat-vented molded clear material. Unlike the original, the snaps that secure the shield are engraved with the BELL logo. The original required the shield to be attached by rubbing it against the top of the helmet, but this new design uses a resin washer at the pivot point, allowing the shield to be attached at any position.

④Center pad
The mask is made from the same fabric as the original, and the stitching pattern is also reproduced. A 5mm thick sponge is attached to the top of the head, and the size can be adjusted with the included additional sponge.
⑤Cheek pads
Just like the original, the neck pad, cheek pads, and mouth liner are all one piece, and genuine leather is used for the mouth liner to enhance the texture.
⑥Chin strap belt & belt support
The chin strap is 25mm wide, just like the original. The belt support is made of firm cowhide leather and is secured with a simple flat D-ring. The belt itself is engraved with the BELL logo and STAR II USA, just like the original.

⑦Various decals
The front logo is 20 x 38 mm, just like the original, and faithfully reproduces the design with the R mark next to the logo. The rear model sticker reads STAR II.
8. Safety and reliability: “SG Standard” and “PSC”
It has obtained the “SG Standard” safety standard set by the Consumer Product Safety Association. It has been recognized through certification testing as being highly safe, reliable, and practical. It has also obtained the “PSC” certification, which is displayed on products that meet the helmet standards set by the Consumer Products Safety Act.

In 1954, the helmet division was spun off from Bell Auto Parts, and the first product they produced was a jet-style helmet called the “500.” The 500 was a groundbreaking helmet that used a foam liner for the interior, and was later inherited as the model name “500-TX.”
The model in the photo is a remake using current technology based on the “500-TX” model produced around 1968. It has been designed with a particular focus on form that deliberately retains the look of the time, something that is not found in modern jet helmets.
There is a wide range of colors and designs available, so you can freely coordinate it to match the model and color of your car.
